I went to Gold's Gym with Frankie yesterday. He promised he would zumba with me for a little bit. I told him he didn't have to if he really didn't want to, but he said "I'm going to zumba with you." Honestly I really didn't think he would.

Well the class started I was following along and he was doing the best that he could. It was funny seeing how the other ladies were looking at him. Frankie didn't care he said he was having fun and it really looked like it. I thought he was only going to stay for like 20 minutes or so but he was actually there for 45 minutes out of 60. I was surprised, not bad not bad at all. He said "I want to come to zumba with you every time, wait until I get all the steps down I'm going to rock this just like you." Ha ha ha he's so funny!

I really enjoyed having him there with me in zumba. The support that he is giving me during this weight loss journey is just great. I couldn't ask for more.

The picture we took before zumba started. This is his "what am I getting into face" and me the "I'm so happy you're here face."

(:

Just Happy (:

This week has been very busy for me. We are having a retreat this Saturday at church. The team has been planning this retreat since the beginning of the year, but there are always those last minute changes and other things that need to get done before that day. I have been busy working on the music part of the retreat. We are expecting u to 150 women to come to the retreat. We have been working hard for this I hope our community center fills up on Saturday. I am very excited about it, I know everything is going to turn out great!

Itís been hard for me to keep active here on Spark for that reason and other reasons too. I miss reading everyoneís blogs and staying updated. This will surely pass soon; rough times donít stick around forever!

On another note, I have a boyfriend. I have been single since I left Cali (which is 2 Ĺ years), I enjoyed it though. But it is nice when you have someone to share your life and experiences with. He is such a great guy; I am so blessed to have him in my life. I thank God for bringing him into my life. He cares for me and he shows it, he doesnít just say it. The best part is he likes me for me, extra pounds and all. Doesnít mean that Iím not going to keep losing the weight, of course I am Iím doing it for me and my health. I know that things are going to go well between me and him.

That's my honey bunny and I last Sunday before church. I'm 5'2 he's 5'11 I was wearing heels and I was still looking very short...lol.

Oh yeah zumba tonight. Funny thing he told me that he would totally go to zumba with me. I was so surprised, but I am taking his word for it not tonight though. Have a lovely day!! (:

Diana, I am so pleased for you! You both look beautiful and happy! I cannot for the life of me imagine anyone as beautiful inside and out as you going so long without some wonderful man snatching you up but God has His own timing. Just take it slow and ENJOY each other and the beauty of new love. Have a great retreat!

It feels good

Thursday, July 07, 2011

Yesterday I went to zumba at Gold's Gym and after the class was over a lady came up to me. She told me I like standing behind you because you're so good at it. She also asked have you ever thought about being a zumba instructor. I was thinking in my head "me a zumba instructor....yeah right." I told her no not really. She told me well I think you would be a really good instructor if you ever did. I told her well thank you that's very nice of you to say. Last think she said was well you should think about it. Honestly it never crossed my mind before. I mean I love zumba. I enjoy it a lot every time I do it, but it's never crossed my mind as more than that. I have fun, I give it my all, and I enjoy it. But it is nice to know that someone thinks such thing of me. To me she was the one that looked more like an instructor thin and in shape that's perfect. For now I'll just keep attending zumba classes and enjoy them all that I can. On that note zumba tonight...oh yeah!!! (:

Diana, your post made me smile so big! You can dance, girl! I'm so proud of you for keeping up with the zumba AND for having someone thin notice how fantastic you are! What a spirit boost that must have been for you! You are proof positive that size doesn't make the woman...the woman makes the woman! How cool would it be if you DID start instructing Zumba classes? MEGA MEGA MEGA COOL!

WOW that's fan-freakin-tastic! Don't dismiss yourself as being a good instructor because you're overweight! I bet having a "heavier" instructor would be encouraging to most people. I would think, "I can do this! She is proving to me right now, I can soo do this!" I would definitely go to a class if you were my teacher over a skinny chick anyday!

A little about a lot

Thursday, June 30, 2011

Thereís been so much going on for me right now. I have officially registered to go back to school in August at PAC. There was a couple of reasons why I couldnít go before but things worked out now in my part. I am glad because I had wanted to go back to school for a while now. I am going to take philosophy 1301, English 1302, History 1302, Kinesiology 1105, and Math 1314. The Kinesiology class is a Latin Cardio Dance class; similar to zumba I think, but whatever it is Iím in! The class Iím worried about is history class. That has never been my best subject in school; actually it has always been my lowest grade since Junior High. Not only that but in the professor category it says TBA. So I donít even know what kind of professor it is. God willing I hope it all turns out ok.

My mother was supposed to be back this week on Sunday. I thought she was going to be able to be back in time for 4th of July but sheís not. Some things came up and well she wonít be back until next Sunday God willing. I was so happy she was coming back already, I miss her. I know that one more week with my grandparents is very special for her; I hope she enjoys every bit of it! Iím sure the week will go by fast for us anyway.

Yesterday I went to zumba class at Goldís Gym. I usually go on Thursdays but one of the girls that goes on Thursday said she also went on Wednesday and that I should go. I decided I would give it a goÖwhy not? I went and it was great, I burned just as many calories as I usually do Thursdays. What I liked about this instructor is that nearing the end of the class she has an entire song specifically for ab work. Tonight I will be going to zumba class at the gym like I regularly do. It will be great! Have a wonderful day!! (:

Yay going back to school is terrific! emoticon I took latin cardio dance at SAC and it is basically zumba but since the professor isn't zumba certified and what not they can't legally call it zumba...I loved it though.

Diana, I'm so proud of you for going back to school. If you need help, let me know. I am not a college graduate, but my passion has always been history and literature. I love everything about history. Think of it this way...everything around us is history in the making. History is really just a study of things that have already happened and how things were in other times. Don't be afraid of it. Open your mind and tell yourself that you are going to master it and you will! You can do it!

Busy Bee

Thursday, June 23, 2011

These past two weeks have been very busy for me, at work and at home. At work because my bossesí son is getting married tomorrow, and they only had a month to plan the wedding. My female boss the wife of the owner of the company was the wedding planner, meaning that I was sure to get involved. I have been working on wedding invitations, address labels, thank you cards, wedding center pieces, wedding dťcor, wedding flowers, and all the other things that go into putting together a wedding. Iím not going to lie it has been a bit stressful even though itís not my wedding. Well not only that but my usual work duties have been backed up because of the wedding. Meaning I have a lot of catching up to do on Monday God willing.

So thatís what has been going on at work. At home itís a whole different story too. My mom has been gone for almost two weeks. Itís funny how it all happens all at once. Busy work days and also busy at home too. I get home from work and clean up a bit and start cooking. I have been getting about 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night. I have like the ugliest bags under my eyes, great just in time for the wedding tomorrow. I really hope I can cover it up with makeup. Last weekend I went shopping for a dress and heels. I donít feel comfortable wearing dresses but the event calls for it. The last time I wore a dress was at my prom in 2005. Shows how much I wear dresses, and here I am six years later about to wear a dress. My sister convinced me to wear it and she chose it too. I was planning to wear a nice blouse and dressy pants, but she didnít like the idea too much. So weíll see how that goes I think my EPIC final picture might just be in that dress, not sure yet though.
With all that going on, thatís been the reason why I have been a bit distant from Spark. Iím not disappearing but I check in a bit from time to time. I miss reading everyoneís blogs and being active on here. After this week it will be a bit easier to get back on Spark more often.

I was called busy bee by a friend the other day and honestly that's how I've been for a while now....lol. The thing that has me feeling not too stressed or over whelmed today, the day before the wedding is because itís zumba at the gym tonightÖ.yay!!!! Have a great day!!! (:

You will look fabulous in your dress....
I am wearing a dress and jacket to a wedding tomorrow as well.....have just tried them on....realised a while ago that although they match, the dress was a size bigger than the jacket....and I have lost about 5kg.s since buying them...the jacket fits superbly however the dress is a bit big....am wearing it anyway and going to enjoy the wedding and all that is brings....

You will enjoy it as well.....

I have to admit, when I first read "my mom's been gone for two weeks" I thought you were saying something completely different! I went back to read the last post again and realized you what you meant. lol. I'm glad it's this kind of gone and not the other!

I never wear dresses either. Or makeup. I can't remember the last time I wore a full dress. I know I wore a skirt and blouse for my sister's wedding in early 2008 and that was also the last time I wore makeup...
