...Good Intentions

I've been having some trouble lately getting motivated to exercise. Its colder out now and my class work is getting more and more demanding so i have less time than i normally would to exercise. I also have a job now thats taking up much of my time, and also killing my motivation to work out even further. Good grief!
it seems like i'm on here just to complain but that just isn't so. I am writing because i need that little extra push to get going. Push me! hahaha.
I need to be more accountable for accomplishing my goals. I'm only 5 pounds away from my original weight loss goal and am struggling to get there. So here are my official weekly goals...

1. eat breakfast every day
2. drink 8 glasses of water
3. work out 3 times a week
4. stay within my calorie goals

These are all pretty straight forward but i had so much success with them when i first started on spark. I hope that i can get back into the swing of things
I want to lose 2 pounds this week.
Tomorrow i will weigh in and start on this crazy journey once again.
Here goes nothing!

So i went for a jog on Friday but that was the last time i did anything really good. or even followed along with the videos. Barely one week in and i am behind! I still count this week as a success though. I lost 1.3 pounds which is awesome. Its especially awesome since my weight loss had just stopped entirely in the past month.
I'm going to do better with this thing this week hopefully. The long weekend is going to be a challenge since i'm heading back home to go camping with my cousins but i think camping is a workout in itself :P Since it always ends with adventures through the woods and all sorts of sports. I'm excited about it :)
Today i am going to do the video and go for a nice long walk/jog :) ITs actually sunny out so i think that some sun will really start this week off right.

Days 3 and 4... challenging

Well. yesterday was amazing but today its raining again. Buuuuut i managed to get out and go for a jog on both days. I loved the video for yesterday, my arms are kind of killing me today but i've always wanted nice toned arms :) The abs workout today was a killer! my core strength is really not up to par apparently :P Oh well though. I've done the video once already and am going to do it a second time later. (if i can, hahahaha) I tipped over trying to swing my arm and leg out sideways and spent a good amount of time laughing on my living room floor. I had to rewind the video and catch up :P
On a really awesome note though i increased my jogging distance by 3 blocks! Which doesn't seem like a ton buti felt so great after. I can't wait to go out again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day and just get better and better. The loop i do now is 3 km and i can't wait for the day when i can do the whole thing.
This bootcamp is so great. Its the little bit of motivation that i need every day. Knowing that there are so many other people out there who are sweating through the same work outs and videos really pushes me to succeed too.

A Rainy Day For Bootcamp

Well i woke up today to find out that it was raining. Which of course put a huge downer on my grand plans to go for a jog.
I sat inside all day applying for jobs and just generally wasting time until i took a look at my before pictures...
That lit a fire under my bum :) I ended up doing the cardio video from day one 3 times! ( it nearly killed me) and the lower body video for today. Let me just say that my legs are burning and i'm wondering if i'm going to be able to move at all tomorrow :P
I feel great though! I'm so glad i did it. And that i'll do it tomorrow and continue to do it well beyond the day that i reach my goals. :)

Bootcamp Day One

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT BOOTCAMP! (just to let you know)
When i first joined sparkpeople i kept a little notebook that tracked my progress and it really helped me to stick with all of my goals so i'm going to try and post a blog for every day of bootcamp and try to get back into the swing of things.

So today was day one... I just did the 10 minute cardio workout and surprisingly... i really enjoyed it. For some reason i'd gotten it into my head that i wouldn't but guess what... i found myself sweating a little. I think that i'll definitely use that video again to help me with my 30 minutes of cardio a day that i'm going to be getting :)

This morning i went for a jog with my boyfriend and it went surprisingly well. I'm excited to keep up with a new routine. Especially since i've been missing having a bit of routine since school has been out and i've been searching for a job.

Its the end of day one and i'm feeling great! I love this site.Tomorrow i'm going to take some bathing suit before pictures and put them up here to add a little more incentive. :S Scary but necessary i think.
