Had a great day!!

Monday, February 23, 2009

Busy but good....Spent the day learning how to do a haircut with an unguarded straight razor! Little scary I must say!! Thank God we were only working on mannequin heads.
Then off to the gym, met a friend there and went for a coffee after! Nice to have a workout buddy. We are going to go tomorrow night as well.

You are right. A workout buddy is great to have. You tend to push harder, and push that partner as well. Not to mention it makes time go faster while you are having fun. I recently joined the Y.M.C.A. My wife joined with me, but she's not into the weights like I am. I'm hoping to meet a buddy to be a spotter, and just hang out with while I'm there.
Hey, I need a haircut! I could probably knock off about 5 pounds with one.

The pants are getting longer!!

Monday, February 16, 2009

Ha ha...I have been working out regularly again and am down by about 1 lb but...my pants are not as tight at the waist and seem to be getting longer
Will keep up the pace and hope the scale goes on a down trend also.

I love the dragging pants syndrome, too! It's kind of funny, but I just hemmed a pair of pants that were hanging in my closet and previously were too tight to wear. I did them a tad shorter than normal.. Wearing them with flats now and higher heels once I drop a few more lbs.

love these little signs of progress...

Pants...YES! Pants are my ultimate scale because my thighs and butt are where I carry my weight. I have been using the way my pants fit to gauge my progress more than relying on the scale.

Isn't it great when when your pants start getting longer? Congratulations!!! emoticon

New Car...yeah!!!!

Sunday, February 08, 2009

Boy what a happy day....!!!! Finally have a new car. I am going to try and get a picture of it and add it to my gallery. It may not sound like much but it has been a long time coming! Now I can get to the gym with more ease and not have to take buses and beg rides.
Ya hoo!!! I am a happy cat!! emoticon Not a weight goal but a long term goal that I was starting to think was out of reach!!

Congratulations on your new car! Enjoy. It's amazing when things come together and we get something that others may take for granted.

Wow...so many things have happened so fast!! I am going back to my old job. Finishing up a position where I was for 5 months. Just didn't work out the way I would have liked it to.
I am happy to be going back. In the last while I have managed to get a lot of things in order.
My eating exercise and attitude have all had adjustments made to them and I am really happy with the results.

Wow -36' this a.m. here in 'Cowtown' God forsaken place it is!!
I can't complain too much though as I:
- have a job when lots don't or are losing them
- have good friends one of whom is picking me up today to take me to work as my car is frozen
- have a good man that loves me and takes care of me
- food in the fridge (All good S.P. stuff)
- have a great sister that I love to bits
So life is not all bad. The rest is up to me!
I am going to write a list of I Wills and post them. So keep an eye out!
My New Years resolution from last year "To be non judgmental" is almost done and I am going to be revealing my New Years Resolution for 2009 on New Years Day.
Also the recap on 2008.

    Hi Butterfly!
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I couldn't get my hair done. I called for a cab to take me in the middle of Snowmaggedon and the dispatcher said "I can't get a cab there in time to get you there on time. Honestly, if you don't have to go out DON'T".

I knew I was Lorraine's last client of the day (before she tried to plough home and then back to the airport to leave for Mexico) and so I told her to just get on her way and booked for the first day she is back from Mexico. Hope she got out. The airport was socked in.
