Well yesterday was my last full day on the cleanse and when I weighed in this morning, I was the same as yesterday morning. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense because I cut all processed foods, sugar, caffeine and alcohol for over a week.
Six pounds is great, but this particular cleanse usually flushes out the water retention, which it hasn't for me. I am still inflamed in my hands, feet and abdomen. Some things I've eaten during the process have had gluten so I guess that's the #1 culprit. It is just SO HARD to find comparable ingredients for creating balanced meals.
Oh well... fresh start & at least I know I've done something good for myself... Now I can go out to eat tonight in LA :) Excited to have a nice meal and a glass of wine with a good friend!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Last night I had fish, kale sautéed with garlic, and lentils. We had watermelon for dessert... So healthy - I was proud of myself. I have been eating two healthy snacks in the middle of the day, along with my accelerators. You would think that I would have released more pounds but I have been staying pretty much within 1-2 lbs. There was gluten mixed in the fish (patties) that I have been eating - yes, I have a lot to learn... so that may be the reason why.
One more day & I'm done with it. I was supposed to be on the juice cleanse today & tomorrow, but since I had the reaction to it last week, I'll just continue with 2 shakes and 1 meal.
I feel as though I've really grasped this. I'm not hungry & my energy is up so GREAT!

I am on day 7 of the cleanse & so far, so good... Here's a re-cap of my week:
Day 1 - Hungry, cranky and craving coffee. I wasn't sure I would go through with it, but I made it without cracking. (Down .8 lb)
Day 2 - Feeling a little queasy. Checked out Google and found out people with high acid in their systems (me) can have a reaction to the IsaCleanse. Never had this before, but I definitely have an imbalance in my body. (Down 3 lbs)
Day 3 - FINALLY a shake day! Welcomed it with open arms and enjoyed the shakes for breakfast and lunch. I was almost out of my beloved Vanilla flavor, but plenty of chocolate. Had a delishious fish patty with quinoa and salad for dinner - yum! (Down 3.2 lbs)
Day 4 - Getting used to nibbling on an almond or wafer when hungry between meals - love the freedom of not having to plan so much. I feel really satisfied! (Down 5 lbs)
Day 5 - I cheated a little bit - had a Klondike bar after dinner - woops! Repeated my fish meal - yum! (Down 5.5 lbs)
Day 6 - I'm still going strong! Had an omlette for my big meal around Noon, which was satisfying. I broke & ate some cheese-its while I was watching TV. OMG they were so good! But a big no-no... GLUTEN and Carbs. Oh well... (Down 5.5 lbs)
Day 7 - I feel really good - hoping to release more this week. I plan on finding some Alkaline water which is supposed to help with my chemical imbalance. I have tried it before and felt really good from it - worth another try. I just don't want to be sold on buying that expensive Kangen system... (Down 6 lbs)
So far, I'm down exactly 6 lbs in 7 days - this is the least amount I've ever released on a cleanse, which tells me there's been something seriously wrong with my system for a long while. I can feel it in my body & doctors just can't pinpoint it so I'm left to my own resources. I am still feeling swollen but seeing the scale move down as opposed to up (which has been the case for a looooong time) feels encouraging! I just need to find out how to reverse the acidity in my system and STOP eating products with wheat in them - duh!

I started an Isagenix cleanse today. It's been about a year since I've done one and since I am trying to kick the gluten out of my system, this is the best time to do it. I still have a lot of swelling & water retention, so I hope that this will flush it all out and give me a fresh start. The best results I got from doing the cleanse was losing 24 lbs. (30 in all) - that sounds like a lot in 9 days, but a lot of that is water and with this cleanse, you replace pure nutrients with food.
I trust the process, but going without sugar, caffeine, alcohol and carbs creates some pretty annoying drawbacks. I am snippy and my head hurts... I hope that I will keep my wits and stick with it.
SO today was day 1 and the schedule goes like this:
9/4 - Cleanse Day - 4 cleanse drinks, 3 snacks, 8 glasses of water
9/5 - Cleanse Day
9/6 - Shake Day - Shake for Breakfast & Lunch / Regular Dinner with lots of Veggies
9/7 - Shake Day
9/8 - Shake Day
9/9 - Shake Day
9/10 - Shake Day
9/11 - Cleanse Day
9/11 - Cleanse Day
So I have to get through the rest of today and tomorrow, and then I can eat solid foods again. Grrrr! What did I get myself into? LOL
Oh, I was going to post the 30 day challenge photos here, but Spark isn't letting me upload pics for some reason :(

I went back into my Tumblr account and I absolutely love the way I was posting pictures everyday of my food choices, etc. It really made me think about what I want and how I want to feel, so I'm going to do it again and link them here.
There is a girl on Instagram who used to go by the name of Watch Me Shrink (I wish she was on here - I need to look). Anyway, she has posted her weight loss from 365 lbs. to now 186 lbs. Even at over 200 lbs, she looked amazing! Toned, strong, inspired... I looked through all of her pics and got so motivated to do this. Her goal was way harder than mine is - even though I'm not happy with where I am right now, things could be worse and I love seeing that other women can transform their bodies. It's been so long since I've lost anything it's hard to believe...
I decided to go on an Isagenix cleanse next week after the holiday & see if I can get things moving. It's time!
