I am down 3# from last week!!!!!!
I have realized that I have to be SUPER conscience of what I am eating, and have to make SUPER conscience choices, not fast/un-thought out just because choices. I am down 2# below what I started out at the beginning of the year after GAINING about 5 pounds and going up/down with those 5#. But it has ONLY come by watching what I am eating and exercising. The quick fires have helped tons and I just have to keep it up! My biggest thing with food is I *LOVE* carbs and carbs are NOT my friend. They set off cravings and make me hungry and craving more & more carbs and sweets! So I have had to cut WAY back!
Some YAY moments for me:
Last weekend we were gone to Rachel’s state quiz meet, which meant eating out and being away from home & the food/habits I had started putting into place. We stopped for lunch at McD’s – I was good & got a chicken bacon ranch salad & a parfait so I could get my veggies & not get too many carbs. YAY ONE!
Then for dinner we went to Apple Bees – I knew that would be an ok place because of their weight watcher menu. I got a DELICOUSLY YUMMY chicken/veggies/potato meal for 550 calories, oh my word it was scrumptious! YAY TWO!
For Breakfast Saturday @ hotel I was a bit worried – a lot of times they have CARB heaven there – donuts, bagels, muffins AHHHH! But this one had eggs, turkey sausage and fruit salad! BINGO!! YAY THREE!!
For lunch on Saturday we had a choice of pizza meal (pizza, chips, brownie) or a chef salad (with brownie) so I got the chef salad, it was HUGE and had turkey, ham, eggs, etc on it so it was filling. I gave away my brownie! YAY FOUR!
This week has went well, eating lots of fruit & veggies, logging my food and making sure I kept my carb count down. I have to say I got on the scale a few times during the week just to check on myself to see if it was working.
Yesterday morning I took kids to BK to play (littles not my big kids) while Timmy was in playgroup. We usually eat breakfast & then just get a snack there, drinks and maybe cini-mini’s or something. BK has my favorite breakfast foods :-s I checked calories and MAN OH MAN! I wish they had a fruit parfait like McD’s. The sausage biscuit was the least calorie item and it had almost 400 I think – WAY too man for a snack! So I just got a diet coke and let kids play. YAY FIVE!!!
Last night, dh wanted Hardees for dinner. They have my favorite hot ham & cheese sandwich and curly fries *dreamy eyes* but I looked at menu and there was NOTHING there I could have, NOTHING! So I got dinner and I got a subway sandwich, AFTER checking the calories and I got a 6inch instead of a 12 inch! YAY SIX!!!
I saw something on a show this week that really was like an ah-ha moment for me – Jilian Michaels from BL was being interviewed. The host asked her “Do you count calories or do you just know what you are doing now and are at a good weight and don’t have to anymore?” She said that she counted calories every day – I was like WOW!! This is probably something I am going to have to do all the time, it is really important and will probably have to be a life long thing I do. She (Jilian) also said that some days she is just too busy with her schedule of things to get to the gym (welcome to my world) and she said on those days she tries to just make sure she is active – doing anything/something – and eating good quality food. So these quick fires we are doing or the 10 minutes I may get on the bike before a kid comes calling is important and beneficial!

My February was not good, but I am determined to make March a MUCH better month! I have to remember to make a conscience effort to make exercise a priority. If I don't do it, no one else is going to do it for me. Walking, biking, strength training, jumping jacks, jump rope, whatever, I have to do something EVERY day!
Another thing I need to start working on is my eating - I need start eating more fruits and veggies & drinking more water. I am such a sweets and carb addict - LOVE 'EM! - but I need to again be conscience of what I am eating and make good choices.
This month WILL be better!!!

I decided I need to get some work out clothes to maybe inspire me to do more working out :) When I ride my bike or do the treadmill, my sweats are too hot but shorts, while they are ok while exercising, are too cold to wear during the day. So I decided to look and see what I could fine. After a friends recommendation, I got a pair of danskin capri's and a danksin razorback shirt. I got the size I thought would work best and much to my surprise I had to take them back and get the next smaller size! What incentive!! Today was the first day to wear them and they have been great to wear while doing the treadmill (what little I was able to do) and just around the house. They are very comfortable!!!
I am happy with my purchase!!!
Now if I can just find a pair of shoes that allow me to walk, exercise and not be hurting so bad at the end of the day that I can't hardly walk..........then I'll be all set!!!

Working on those Love Handles this week!!
Here is how my day went in achieving my goals:
* 1 Core Strength Training --> Done, did 2 sets of 15 Standing Towel Side Bend
* Quick Fire Challenge ---> Done, did 100 jumping jacks, broken down into 4 sets of 25
* Pushing It Goal ---> I am going to have to adjust this - having trouble with my foot so the step-ups are probably not a good thing. I think I will work my way up to 200 wall push-ups, broken down into 4 sets/day by the end of the month.
* Cardio ---> Did 15 minutes on the bike , 'life happened' today and I ended up doing some extra running, extra paperwork, extra schooling but I did sit on my exercise ball instead of a chair while doing school with the children
* Special Challenge of the day --> Do 2 shoulder exercises and 2 arm exercises (strength training) - did 2 sets of 12 shoulder shrugs with 3# weights , 2 sets of 12 dumbbel lateral raises (3# weights ), 2 sets of 12 each bicep curls (3# weights ), 2 sets of 12 tricep kickbacks (3# weights ).
I am TOTALLY worn out since being up at 4:45 so am hoping to crash soon since I will be up again at 4:45 in the morning.
