Pope John Paul II Quote

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

To maintain a joyful family requires much from both the parents and the children. Each member of the family has to become, in a special way, the servant of the others.
Pope John Paul II

As I reflected on this quote, I realized just how much truth there is to be found in these words! Sometimes we get so busy we forget to "be servants to those closest to us" because we've give so much to others around us.

Blessings!

How busy?

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

The essential question is not, How busy are you? but What are you busy at?
Oprah Winfrey

This quote hit me hard when I read it... I am constantly busy BUT is what I'm busy at what's important? Definitely caused me pause for reflection, which is always a good thing! My morning reflection was on about Christians being so busy... doing "Good Deeds" we forget to keep our eyes on GOD... hmmm.....

Blessings!

Blessings?

Monday, December 15, 2014

Blessings are not always delivered as we expect, but as they will serve us.- Anon

How true is this? Often times I miss a blessing because I fail to see it for what it is. The wonder of this season has me stopping and reflecting on all the blessings in my life.

Have a blessed day!

Sometimes we don't recognize a blessing when it happens but later the realization hits us! Praying that the realization of Christ's birth and the connection to eternal life will connect to many this blessed season. Thank you for so many blogs giving us messages we need to be reminded of daily! emoticon

God and Gratitude

Sunday, December 14, 2014

Our God is not made of stone. His heart is the most sensitive and tender of all. No act goes unnoticed, no matter how insignificant or small. A cup of cold water is enough to put tears in the eyes of God. God celebrates our feeble expressions of gratitude. -
Richard J Foster on God & Gratitude

Love this one!! Reminds me of just how loving our God is... my prayer is for ME to be for grateful for all the blessings HE shares with me on a daily basis.

Updates on Prayer Requests...

Saturday, December 13, 2014

I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers on behalf of both my former student, who is dealing with a serious illness, and my son who continues to battle drug addiction.
The young lady is still in the hospital in St. Louis, it looks like she may have to have her spleen removed, but until they get her platelet count up, that is on hold. Please continue to lift her up in your prayers; as well as her parents and other family members!
As for my son, he continues to battle his inner demons some days are good and some not so good! He is in desperate need of continued prayers as well! Thank you!

As for me, I am relying on the Lord and know that HE is in control.

Have a blessed day, friends!!!
