Wow The Support I get here is great

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Wow the support I get on here is great. I am trying to break the habit of eating candy bars every day. I have not eating one for 4 days which is rather some thing for me. I love candy bars, and live right across the street from a store that sells them for half price. So for 5 months I have been going over there every night to get 2 candy bars. If I stocked up I would eat them all in one day. I tried eating the bite size bars but I ended up eating half the bag. Yes I am a candy bar junkie. I know it and I am doing something about it.

I will not eat a candy bar today. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying I will never eat one again, I am just saying today I won't.

Not today!!!!!

Congratulations on your streak ! I have a sweet tooth too. I put a tablespoon of peanut butter and chocolate chips in my oatmeal most mornings along with some splenda and Almond Breeze - it reminds me a little of the on top of the stove cookies I used to binge on but it is a hot healthy breakfast that also curbs my craving for chocolate.
Best of luck to you !

Congrats on four days of success! I find that I'm less likely to OD on really dark chocolate, takes less to satisfy me. Gotta have my chocolate fix!

I have a mean sweet tooth too! I used to eat a chocolate something every day for years. Now I treat myself once a week with a few (5 or 6) chocolate covered almonds from Sprouts market. After all almonds are healthy right? I find the support available on Spark very helpful also. One day at a time with the sweets. You will get there. We are all in the same boat. I will put you on my friend list and check in one in a while. emoticon

No to candy bars

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

I am a candy bar junkie. I admit it I have a very hard time saying no to candy bars, any kind. I am on day three of cold turkey it to candy bars. I use to eat at least 2 a day. I live right across the street from a store and have bitten a path to their door. The store clerks know me as the lady who buys candy bars every night. I can only buy two a day or if I bought more I would eat them. So every night I would walk across the street and buy 2 candy bars. Some times I would buy 4 saying the other 2 were for my husband, but I knew I would eat them. He doesn't even like chocolate.

Today I am on day three of not eating candy bars and I will see how long I can keep this going. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying I won't eat one but not today.

NOT TODAY!!

It's one moment at a time, one choice at a time . . . If you choose something in one moment, you can always turn around and choose something else in the next moment. Make the choice that takes you on the path of where you want to be. . .

Day 2 again hopefully this time works

Monday, May 21, 2012

Well here I go again starting over. They say that every time you start over you do better then the time before, I hope that is true.

I quit smoking YEAH!!!!!! Had my last cig. On Feb. 9 and today is May 21, so I would say i have done rather well.

Now I am going to start working on my weight again. First thing I will do is give up eating two candy bars a day. I am going to count cal. and workout 60 min at least 3 times a week.

In the past I have tried to do to much all at once and have given up to fast. So now I am going to take it nice and slow and really make changes.

Keep me in your prayers, thank you.

Congrats on the no smoking! You have the right idea to start small and build in success. Getting healthy is not an all or nothing venture. If you have a less than stellar meal, or a few days worth of not healthy choices, forgive yourself and move on. Life happens and we just need to keep moving in the right direction.

Eat less, move more! You can do it!

One small step at a time is so true and before you know it, it becomes a giant step. I think we all start out trying to lose the weight overnight but we didn't gain it that way. It just crept on slowly year after year. emoticon emoticon

Sunday finely came around

Sunday, February 19, 2012

Sunday the beginning of the week for me, yeah. I love a new week , you can make new plans. new plans on how I will lose this weight. Each week I Make a new little goal to help me lose weight. Last week the goal was to not eat junk food after dinner. Well I did ok 4 days out of 7. This week I will do better!!!

My goal for this week is to add an other exercise session to each day. Last week I rode my bike 5 days out of the six I had planned to do it. So this week I will increase that to 2 sessions of 60 minutes each. Hopefully that will help me lose a few more inches and pounds. Someday maybe I can work it up to 8 hours like they do on "Biggest Loser". No really they do that, I read a book written my one of the people that were on the show. It was very interesting 8 hours a day, that is like taking a full time job of exercising, I am not ready to do that yet. Maybe after I lose all this weight I can give classes for people 50 and over on how to work out. Ha Ha Hee Hee.

Well I am looking forward with high hopes that this will and can be a good week for me, hope it is for you too.

New week new goals

Monday, February 13, 2012

New week new goals. Last week my goal was to not eat junk food after dinner. Well i did good three days out of seven days so I still need to work with that goal. This week I am going to eat the 5 fruits and vegetables. I have done that already today, so I am off to a good start.

I lost 3 pounds this week so I am pretty happy about that. Hope to lose 4 more this month. That would get me down in the 170's. I started out at 205 so I am slowly getting rid of this weight. I have been playing with this 4 lbs for a few months and I would like to start getting below the 180's

.
