And I'm sick

I woke up this morning with an awesome sore throat. I chugged some water, took a throat lozenge and went back to sleep...For 4 hours. Right, my body obviously wanted some rest! I now have a headache and my throat is still sore. I found some yummy ice blocks at the supermarket

They are only 61 calories each, and they have chunks of real strawberries in them. I have had 3 today, to soothe my throat. I say they count as medication, fruit and fluid. So there.

I also had one of these for my lunch today

Took me back to my childhood. I used to eat these as an after school snack all the time when I was a teenager, and when I saw them in the supermarket they screamed comfort food. The calories were reasonable so I got them.

I promise I got real food at the supermarket too. I got some manderins, some nashi pears and half a rock melon so I can make a big fruit salad for my mum and I. We split it and take it to work for our snacks.

With this sickness I am going to try to keep up my exercise if I feel up to it. There may be an extra rest day this week, but that is OK. I cut my run down from 5k to 3k today, and after the first km I felt a lot better. I knew I would feel better if I just got out there and started.

I will leave you with a pictuer of my sexy boyfriend playing the sax last night.

The lighting is all funky because of the stage lights. I thought it made the photo look cool :)

    Yeehaa - I also went for my walk but after I'd done all the housework I thought it might be too late to txt a teacher!!!

I'm sorry you're sick - oohh and I've been wanting to try those new "medicinal" iceblocks... now I know they're good... mmm pizza.

emoticon And I am going to miss hitting 1000 monthly fitness minutes by 90 minutes. Thats it! But with only 4 days left in the month (and the minutes already precounted, I am currently on 785) I really don't think I can fit in another 90 minutes anywhere! Stoopid February, being short. Just one more day and I could have gotten there by adding 10 minutes to everyday and having another 60 minute workout. But it is not to be! GAH!

RIGHT reassess. This month my goal is to beat last month (which was 888 minutes). I will do this without a problem. My goal for March will be 1000 monthly minutes. Does that sound fair? I think so too...

But seriously people, I can't believe I am being foiled by a stoopid short month! OK, OK, yes I took 3 rest days this week, but I was sick! If I hadn't gotten sick I would have made it too....Yikes. Also, I just wrote gottened, instead of gotten. Poor spelling and grammar is contagious, clearly!

emoticon On a completely unrelated note, I had Subway for lunch (OMG YUM) and got 2 cookies, but I only ate one. I gifted the other to my boyfriend. Progress.

emoticon I saw someone last night that I haven't seen for 5 weeks. She noticed my weight loss!!

:D emoticon I did 40 minutes of weights at the gym. I actually combined my new and my old programme to get a longer workout. I figured since my body was kinda used to the old programme it wouldn't hurt. And it didn't. Might hurt tomorrow though...

emoticon I'm going out tonight! My boyfriend is in a covers band (70's, 80's 90's) and they are playing at a bar tonight. So I have to get my glad rags on and go boogie! I love seeing him play, he is really in his element and just looks so happy the whole time. It is so nice.

Back on track

So I had a bad couple of days. I was sick. I was tired. I didn't exercise enough (what is cardio again?) and I ate waaaaay to much chocolate and not enough veggies. No more excuses though! I am feeling much better thanks to the medication my doctor gave me so I have no reason to be lazy and eating badly!

Also I am up half a kilo this week, and I hate that!

Right, refocus!

My workout plan for the week:

S: Weights
S: Run
M: Boxing
T: Weights
W: Rest/walk(I'm working late because we have a community evening at school. Won't finish until 7.30ish)
T: Weights then bike/treadmill
F: Rest

Saturday morning I hope to weigh 82.0 or less! Wish me luck!

So I have a sinus infection. And feel like crap. Gah. BUT I worked out Sunday and Monday, and am going to the gym for a weights session tomorrow, so I'm not off track with exercise. Eating is a different story tho... It isn't great. Two off days?It happens! I have a nice healthy lunch planned for tomorrow to get me back on track. Not expecting miracles on the scale this week. A small loss, or even no loss will be fine with me, since I haven't been giving it my all.

Had a course today, and then took the rest of the day as a sick day. Which means I sat at home and did work instead of sitting at work and doing it.

Better get to bed. I have a huge display to do tomorrow and I want to get it done early, before the kids arrive. Then I get to do all the other bits and bobs that need doing before school can start. And I need to plan my maths, but am thinking I will just teach them some maths games so I can add them into the rotation.
