So, not as happy with my loss this month. I know what the problem is; I hit 5kg lost and then slacked off for 2 weeks. My fault. Next month my goal is to eat more fruits and veggies, since they went bye bye for a little while there.
On to the stats
Weight lost - 900g/2lb (This morning I weighed in at 82.4)
Lowest weight: 82.1
Exercise minutes - 860 minutes (I plan to squeeze in a 30 minute walk somewhere, anywhere, so that I can beat last month, which was 888)
Days exercised - 19-20/29
Average workout time - 45 minutes
So in short I am happy to be down 5kg total (I still say I am, even though this mornings weight in says 4.9kg), but not happy that I reached that goal in the first half of the month. So I just cruised for a couple of weeks and didn't lose anything.
My goal for next month is to be out of the 80's. That means a loss of 2.5kg in a month. I think I can do it, with a little more dedication and a little less chocolate. Thats not to say I won't be eating chocolate, because I will. I still believe that moderation is the key. It is when moderation gets overtaken by overindulging that we have a problem.
Wish me luck, and insert supportive comments below. Y'all know I need them right now.
P.S I plan to do a post of non-scale victories tonight, but for now I need to get my butt to work

This is what the Board of Trustees and my principal gave me to welcome me into the school. How freakin' sweet is that! I love them!
Also, my principal commented to the rest of the staff about my ability to talk and connect with the children. I love that. Connecting with the children is so important, and I am pleased that I am succeeding in that area.

I woke up this morning with an awesome sore throat. I chugged some water, took a throat lozenge and went back to sleep...For 4 hours. Right, my body obviously wanted some rest! I now have a headache and my throat is still sore. I found some yummy ice blocks at the supermarket
They are only 61 calories each, and they have chunks of real strawberries in them. I have had 3 today, to soothe my throat. I say they count as medication, fruit and fluid. So there.
I also had one of these for my lunch today
Took me back to my childhood. I used to eat these as an after school snack all the time when I was a teenager, and when I saw them in the supermarket they screamed comfort food. The calories were reasonable so I got them.
I promise I got real food at the supermarket too. I got some manderins, some nashi pears and half a rock melon so I can make a big fruit salad for my mum and I. We split it and take it to work for our snacks.
With this sickness I am going to try to keep up my exercise if I feel up to it. There may be an extra rest day this week, but that is OK. I cut my run down from 5k to 3k today, and after the first km I felt a lot better. I knew I would feel better if I just got out there and started.

And I am going to miss hitting 1000 monthly fitness minutes by 90 minutes. Thats it! But with only 4 days left in the month (and the minutes already precounted, I am currently on 785) I really don't think I can fit in another 90 minutes anywhere! Stoopid February, being short. Just one more day and I could have gotten there by adding 10 minutes to everyday and having another 60 minute workout. But it is not to be! GAH!
RIGHT reassess. This month my goal is to beat last month (which was 888 minutes). I will do this without a problem. My goal for March will be 1000 monthly minutes. Does that sound fair? I think so too...
But seriously people, I can't believe I am being foiled by a stoopid short month! OK, OK, yes I took 3 rest days this week, but I was sick! If I hadn't gotten sick I would have made it too....Yikes. Also, I just wrote gottened, instead of gotten. Poor spelling and grammar is contagious, clearly!
On a completely unrelated note, I had Subway for lunch (OMG YUM) and got 2 cookies, but I only ate one. I gifted the other to my boyfriend. Progress.
I saw someone last night that I haven't seen for 5 weeks. She noticed my weight loss!!
:D I did 40 minutes of weights at the gym. I actually combined my new and my old programme to get a longer workout. I figured since my body was kinda used to the old programme it wouldn't hurt. And it didn't. Might hurt tomorrow though...
I'm going out tonight! My boyfriend is in a covers band (70's, 80's 90's) and they are playing at a bar tonight. So I have to get my glad rags on and go boogie! I love seeing him play, he is really in his element and just looks so happy the whole time. It is so nice.
