So I have a sinus infection. And feel like crap. Gah. BUT I worked out Sunday and Monday, and am going to the gym for a weights session tomorrow, so I'm not off track with exercise. Eating is a different story tho... It isn't great. Two off days?It happens! I have a nice healthy lunch planned for tomorrow to get me back on track. Not expecting miracles on the scale this week. A small loss, or even no loss will be fine with me, since I haven't been giving it my all.

Had a course today, and then took the rest of the day as a sick day. Which means I sat at home and did work instead of sitting at work and doing it.

Better get to bed. I have a huge display to do tomorrow and I want to get it done early, before the kids arrive. Then I get to do all the other bits and bobs that need doing before school can start. And I need to plan my maths, but am thinking I will just teach them some maths games so I can add them into the rotation.

Today I ate: 2 servings of chocolate mint cookies (NEVER take the bag. ALWAYS portion into a bowl!), a strawberry ice cream, made with real strawberries AND a chocolate ice cream. Oops. Should have eaten one of those treats, not all of them! Deep breath, tomorrow is a new day!

My exercise of the day was swimming at my in laws. I did a few laps and then splashed around, but made sure I was always moving, even if it was just laying on my back and kicking my feet. My thighs are sore, so I must have done something right!

Tomorrow I have a big container of rock melon and pears for my lunch tomorrow, with some crackers and hummus. Yummy. I am also going to the gym after work for some weights and a boxing class. THEN I am having dinner with my bestie and her new boyfriend. I haven't met him yet, so I'm excited. I am taking my boyfriend, so it is a double date! Off to look at the menu to make a good choice!

    You're right, it's a new day just waiting for you to make smart choices.

I had to google rock melon and I see it's what we call cantaloupe. I grew those in my garden last summer and had them in abundance. Yummy!

    I had apple pie for dinner tonight. I think I just got too excited about being able to eat without being sick and wanted dessert for dinner haha.

...that after years of avoiding strength work I am finally admiting that I like it? Well I do! I always thought it would be soooo boring, but it isn't, because I am only doing something for 2-3 minutes at a time! After that I move on to the next machine/move. Perfect for my easily bored and hyperactive little brain! I am going to do my strength tomorrow and make an appointment for an assessment and a new programme with the gym trainer. I have upped all my weights at least twice since beginning the programme and have gone from holding a plank for 15 seconds to holding for 30! I would like a programme that is longer (currently 20 minutes) and that uses more free weights (currently all machine except for the plank, to get me used to being in the strength area).

In other news, I 'came out' on facebook. Announced my weight loss to date. So far the only comments I have been getting are telling me not to lose anymore (hey, thanks person who hasn't seen me in 10 years, but you have no idea what my weight is) and telling me that 5kg in 6ish weeks is too much too soon (it is 800g per week, which is fine) and asking me if I have done a cleanse or something! Hint for my facebook friends, the correct responce is "yay, great work!". Now I know why I confine my weight stuff to spark, y'all are so much nicer and more understanding!

Hi, I'm here. Took a rest day today so I could have a wine with an old workmate, and then dinner with my boyfriend. Priorities.

I weighed in at 82.3kg this morning, which means I have lost 5kg since the start of the year! YAY!

Loving my job. My kids are awesome.
