The festive season

Sunday, December 11, 2011

The tree is up and decorated. Mum and I did it yesterday, with christmas caroles playing.

I love this time of year. My birthday is in 3 days, mum's is in 4 days, graduation in 5 days and then christmas in 14 days. Busy, busy over here!

Exercise isn't happening much. After I have been on my feet all day the last thing I want to do it walk or run around.

I'll be popping in and out. Seeya when I see ya!

Sculpt 6K

Sunday, December 04, 2011

The walk was fairly boring and uneventful. A 3k loop, twice, around Auckland city/waterfront.

For giggles, this is what I look like early in the morning with no make up on

Traditional prerace photo with me and my xmas elf

I am not the weight I wanted to be. I don't look the way I want to look. But I don't care that much anymore. I have come to a weird state of acceptance. I work out, I stay fat, I don't, I stay fat. I can't live my life hating my body because clearly it isn't in a hurry to change. I just workout when I want, try to make good choice and try not to sweat the small stuff... Or the large thighs.

I love that you're accepting your body no matter what your weight. That will take you farther than not accepting and dropping the weight...which would likely return again in that event.

Feeling so blah

Monday, November 14, 2011

Today is my first day off in 27 days.

So should I feel bad for relaxing? I didn't exercise at all! I am just feeling so tired and worn out. I feel like I should be going hard and working out...but I just don't want to. I am tired. Maybe I should just start with walking again. Build up to spinning and boxing in the next few weeks? Walking is better than doing nothing!

I have been eating better. Lots of good food, no take aways, limited chocolate (although there was a churro incident last night...But I stopped waaaaaaay sooner than I wanted to lol!). Today my lunch was a punnet of strawberries. All I wanted was fresh food. And the strawberries were grown 5 minutes from my house. Bonus! So...Should I push myself? Or just commit to going for a walk tomorrow, and take it from there?

I don't have unlimited time...my graduation is in 4 weeks and I want to look good for the photos!

Slowly sorting my &^%$ out

Friday, November 11, 2011

I look fat in a lot of photos. Photos from my last day of uni. Graduation is in 5 weeks. I CAN make a difference in 5 weeks.

So far I have:
- Cut out dairy
- Not had dessert for the past 2 nights
- Stayed in my calories (or close enough) for 2 days

Next I need to:
- STOP feeling too tired to work out after work.
- Take my gym clothes with me to work and just go to the gym. I'm not kidding anyone by stopping by 'for a minute'.
- STOP eating junk. Just because I can doesn't mean I should
- Get more sleep.

Check out SassyMoho's Antigain-Train. We have been getting all fired up over there about not gaining during usuall times to gain weight like Christmas etc.

God. Beachwear is imminent - that is enough to get me to stop eating crap!!

Good to get into a great routine now, your first year teaching is normal hard, busy, and very tiring. If you can establish good patterns of working out now, hopefully they will carry over to when you start. You'll find you'll have more energy for those wonderful sweeties when you take care of yourself too.
