May Goals

Here are my new goals for this month!

Fitness Goals:

Do 10 tricep dips in a row

Kick my workouts up to 4 times a week

Do 5 pushups in a row (girly ones)

Track 6 days per week

Only eat out once per fortnight

Weight Goal:

Loose 5 kg (but be happy with anything!)

Financial Goals:

Save enough for my holiday!

School Goals:

Finish all my assignments

Have fun on placement (3 weeks to go!)

    Great goals! I'm glad to read the comment from Daracox on progressing with push ups because I'm still trying to do one toe push up a year later. Grrrr!

    Sounds like great goals! As a trainer, can I give you some advice on accomplishing the push up goal? Girly style pushups don't work your core like "real" push ups. If you want to build the strength more quickly you could start doing regular push ups against the wall, up on your toes. Then with your hands on a bench and then down to the floor. The position is more similar to an actual pushup and you will be surprised how quickly you get stronger. I've had clients who can't do one regular push up start against the wall and I have them doing 10 full real pushups in 6-8 weeks.

April Goal review

emoticon Do 10 tricep dips in a row- Maybe next month!

emoticon Attend 1 boxing class a week

emoticon Do 1 push up. It was a girly one, but I did it! My boxing instructor even said I did it right!

emoticon Go to yoga once a fortnight

emoticon Kick ass in at least 3 classes a week (If I missed a class I worked out another time, so I'm calling it a win)

emoticon Drink lots of water

emoticon Eat 1 serving of fruit per day and 2 servings of veggies

emoticon Stop, think, track!!

emoticon Spark it up once a day!

Feeling very spacey

I need a good nights sleep. Stat. Last night Russell was having some weird dreams and kept waking me up through the night. Once he tapped me, another time I woke up and his head was on my chest and another time I woke up to his hand on my breastage. Each time he was asleep and when I woke up and spoke to him he muttered and rolled over. So very annoying. Then my dad turned on the TV in the lounge in the middle of the night, and that woke me up too. It is amazing how much my day is affected by being woken up so many times. I am feeling sleepy, and slow and spacey. Ick.

I need to get some of my assignment done tonight. I'm hoping that I will perk up once I have some dinner. I have chocolate as my study aide, and tonight I'm not afraid to use it!

In other news, my scale has gone up a kilo. I'm hoping it is a bit of sodium and a bit of strength training gain. No idea what it is, really, since I have been good and been working out. I'm not letting it bother me, but I have noted it.

In other news, I have a busy week. Work, uni, assignments and the gym! Story of my life. I'm so ready to be done with studying!!!

Don't fret the small gain on the scale. It will be gone soon with how on fire you are!

And today I worked

Today was my long work day, 10 hours. It sucks getting to work when it is dark and leaving when its dark. Bring on Summer!!!!

My eating was good again today. I am learning how to eat filling calories! For example, tuna and rice. Low calorie and soooooo filling. I had it for my lunch today and didn't need my snack until 4 hours later, much later than usual. Also, peanut butter on toast for breakfast. Full until morning snack time! Eating filling foods helps me to keep to my calorie range! YAY! And I have room for dessert. Double YAY!

Tomorrow morning I am off to a boxing class and then to work for a few hours. Another busy day!

    Wow I hear that. Brown rice is my favorite. I can eat that with anything. I was just about to get back into eating tuna this upcoming week. I was thinking about mixxing it with spicy mustard instead of mayo.

Something is better than nothing, right?

So this morning I had to drag myself to the pools. I was just not motivated, I didn't want to go and no one could make me. Then I remembered "No one regrets a workout" so I got off my butt and went to the pools. BUT I got there late and only had time for 30 minutes, not the 60 I had planned for. Something is better than nothing, right?

I plan on going to the pools on Saturday after work to make up the extra half hour that I was going to do today...Or I might do a whole hour... We'll see!

Eating was good again today. Lots of protien and fibre and stuff. And dessert. I'm not interested in a life without dessert. Today I toasted 2 jumbo marshmellows, for a 180cal dessert.

In other news, jumbo mashmellows? Have you guys seen these? I had to buy them from the American Food Shop, who imports lots of food from the states. They are MASSIVE. I couldn't even believe it, then I had to buy them.

The assignments are slow going still. I'll try and chip away at them, an hour or 2 a night.

My car still isn't working, so I am car sharing with the boyfriend and the father. Hopefully we can get a Mr Man out to fix it tomorrow and hopefully it is a very easy problem to fix!

    I want you to know how funny it is to me that you, in New Zealand, can only get obscenely large marshmallows at the American Food Shop. I definitely had a giggle over that. I'm calling that an international win for American stereotypes! And I agree. What is life without dessert?

    Absolutely, something is better than nothing! 30 minutes is not too shabby, in my humble opinion.

Yes, I have seen those ginormous marshmallows! I had to do a double take when I saw them. I wanted them sooooo bad, but decided against it. Hubby won't eat them, and I would eat them all in a short amount of time. Not good!
