At work today we had a big sale. On days when we have a big sale we have to get to work early for a shared breakfast and coffee. The breakfast is always terrible; pies, sausage rolls, muffins, donuts. I would go on but I think you all get the idea. I had a coffee (soy mocha, yum yum) but did not have any of the breakfast. My workmates tried to peer pressure me into having some so I used the excuse that I have already had breakfast. When that didn't work they tried another tactic. I just said "I am enjoying eating a healthy diet and am doing well, so I will just have my coffee, thank you". They stopped. Thank goodness! I did end up snacking on a couple of small, solid chocolate eggs during the day because my lunch was delayed and I needed a sugar kick. I felt I had the freedom to do this because I had a healthy breakfast, so I don't feel bad about it.

I was able to go home around 3pm. I was actually dying. My workmates were discusted that I had to come in, but when I mentioned to my boss on Thursday that I wasn't well and enquired about having today off he said something along the lines of...well...no. No more. Next time I am sick I WILL be having the day off. I got home, watched some TV, sparked and let my mama take care of me. Hot lemon drinks and she is making my dinner. When you are sick you just want your mama!

Hot tea, water and a homoeopathic cold remedy. Lets hope I'm better tomorrow!!!!

    What is it with people trying to get others to eat? What part of NO don't you understand? Grrr! LOL You did awesome sticking to your guns and only having a coffee.

Eat chinese food = lose weight?

Hmmmm so last night I indulged a bit and had chinese food for dinner. It was salty and delicious. Just for interests sake I weighed myself this morning. I had lost weight, 300g to be exact! Ummm? Ok! I'll take it. No asking questions, just go with it!

In other news I have to go to work today. Which sucks because I am really sick. I was told there was no way I could call in sick today so I have to go in. BUT I will be telling my boss to send me home asap because I am sick and gross and no one wants to buy jewellery off someone who has a fountain on their face.

    I allow myself a splurge day once a week. It is usually on the weekend and I always seem to drop a pound or 2 by Tuesday. I think our bodies just get shocked when we switch things up...lol

Another motivating holiday picture.

emoticon I am pleased to annouce that another 100g has left the building, bringing me to 1.8kg/3.9lb lost in around 3 weeks. Slow and steady folks. In a perfect world I would keep up this rate of loss, but we all know its not a perfect world. I am aiming to be at my goal weight by my birthday, which is in 8 months time, so I think I have a realistic timeframe. It is around 2-3kg a month.

emoticon Today is a rest day, partly because everything is closed and it is horrible outside and partly because I'm still sick. Sneezy, dozy, fuzzy and the other dwarf men have taken up residence in my head. I am on my couch with a bottle of water, a blanket and my mama. And my languages assignment. Joy. If there is no rest for the wicked then I must be awful!

emoticon I have eaten bacon twice today. Yes, twice.

emoticon Russell has a gig tonight. And as much as I looooove going along to support him I think I will have to pass tonight. I don't want to be there sniffing in the corner. He isn't feeling well either, poor love.

The picture made me LOL. It is so true! There is no point being restrictive! Everything in moderation, including moderation!

In other news, I used the 10 minute rule this morning with my workout. I didn't want to get out of my nice, warm bed and go to the pools. So I tricked myself into going. I said that I would go to the pools and do 10 minutes. If I still didn't want to be there then I would get out and go home. I did my whole hour! Getting there is the hardest part!

Have the same debate with myself when I am leaving work..Dont wanna go to the gym...but you will feel better, but I'm tired..well, just do 15 on the elipse..you can do that..next thing I know I have done my work out too..Nice to know the voices in the head are starting to turn to the positive side eh?

Motivating Picture

This is where I am hoping to go on holiday in July - Rarotonga, Cook Islands. It is motivating because I'll be damned if I am going to paradise and not enjoying myself because of how I feel. I want to feel fit and happy and hot in a bikini. It is also motivating because the more I eat at home and the less I eat out the more money I can save towards the holiday! And it is healthier to eat at home! I have about half of the money saved, another 3 weeks and we should have enough for the airfare and accommodation. Yahoo, lets get going folks!

I spent the day relaxing and doing some of my assignment. I don't know if I'm getting sicker or better.

Eating was average. We had yum cha for lunch and I did my best. We only ordered steamed foods and I went easy on the soy sauce. No idea of the calories. I think to food coming in drips and drabs really helps to limit what is eaten because I have time to get full. Then again it is harder to keep track of what I am eating...I do try to keep count though!!

I am in pain from the gym on Monday and Tuesday. My abs are on fire and my thighs hurt so much that sitting down is painful...Its more of a controlled fall into the seat than sitting. I am going to go to the pools tomorrow morning before work so hopefully that will help to heal me!

Assignments are going well. I am about 1/3 finished with one, so if I can finish it by Sunday I will be very happy!

And...thats all I think....
