So there is currently major flooding in and around Brisbane, where I was going for my holiday. 10 people are dead and nearly 100 are missing. The friend who I was going to stay with is waiting to see if she will be evacuated. In short, it is a mess over there, and my heart goes out to everyone who is caught in it. Hopefully everything will be stored to normal soon.
In light of the recent flooding I have been advised to cancel my holiday. I am bummed, but there is nothing I can do about it. I'm happy to stay here and be safe.
In other news
Eating has been OK. Exercise has been on hold due to a knee injury. I hurt it running a few weeks ago. I'm seeing a physio on Friday morning who will hopefully be able to sort it out. Its starting to effect my work.

I made a decision. I'm going on holiday. I work too damn hard and I deserve a break. So what does one do after making this decision?
Think of somewhere cheap to go.
And I have the answer!!
My 3rd best friend (yes I rank my best friends, and yes, they know) lives in Aussie, about an hour north of Brisbane. With my nephew who is 2 and the custest thing to walk the earth. I emailed her and she replied saying she has a place for me to sleep and she would be thrilled to have me visit. So I'm off for a week! A whole week of sitting on the beach and relaxing and doing absolutly nothing. And I'm just a short drive away from the Gold Coast, so I can stay with some family if my friend gets sick of me.
The flights are gonna cost $350 (I have $250 saved and I'm getting $100 of overtime next week) so then I just need some spending money (Russell is getting $200 next week which he said I could have and I should be able to put away a bit more) and I'm golden.
So, yay for holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In addition, today I ate a smoothie for breakfast (yes, ate, it was very thick, more like sorbet), sushi for lunch and I snacked on cherries. And a bowl of ice cream. Maybe two. Did I mention its hot here? Russell is cooking dinner, devilled sausages with potatoes and fresh silverbeet from the neighbours vegie garden (they have heaps and extended an open invite to anything in there). I also worked all day and had lunch with my parents who visited me at work.
Thats all, folks!

And I haven't even had chocolate today!
So hummus is good in small portions, but is pretty calorie packed otherwise. Especially when you eat most of the tub. It was mighty delish! Pita breads are also good....One at a time. Not all 3.
Damn delish food, its not fair!
OK, I have got the healthy food part down...Next stop, portion control!!

Hi all. So the inspection went well. It was mainly a store/manager inspection, so I just had to behave myself. The acting regional manager loved me, so thats good.
Essential supermarket shopping after work. As much as I didn't wanna move. Healthy choices were made. I got some garlic pita breads and dukkah hummus for my snacks and for my dessert. YAY for yummy healthy food.
As for exercise...No. No freakin way. I am so tired. I'm working so hard because I am the only one bringing in money at the moment. As in 10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. And I don't even get any benefits from my hard work. My wages barely cover rent, food and petrol, let alone bills. I don't get to spend any of the money I earn on myself. I wish my good for nothing boyfriend had applied for jobs in November when there were jobs to be had. Ah. Enough complaining, its not gonna change anything.
And on that note...night!
