Hell freakin yeah people. Last assignment done! 1 presentation which is pretty much in the bag and I am done! YAHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
In other news, I really liked the place I viewed today...from the outside. The real estate agent (after being 30 minutes late and us having to travel 40 minutes out of our way) didn't bring the right keys. How many languages can you say frustrating in? She was very nice and lovely and said sorry a million times, but still it was a bit annoying. We will be viewing the inside (we hope!) on Saturday and as far as we are aware no one else will be shown the flat because we are pretty sure we want it and its not our fault that we couldn't see it today. However on to the good! From the outside it looks very big. It is 2 bedrooms with a lounge and kitchen (no dining room, which is fine because we are selling our dining table). And the walkablity is awesome. We are less then 10 minutes walk from 2 beaches and about 20 minutes walk from the centre of town and apart from the hill that we are on it is all very flat. We would have to walk up a hill coming home but besides that it is all nice and flat! I could go for some lovely walks and runs and I could start using my bike again! To say I want this place is an understatement!
In health news, tomorrow is startover day. I have been eating badly and not exercising for 2 weeks and tomorrow it ends! I'm going to have breakfast, pack some snacks for uni and drink at least 2 bottles of water. Then after uni I WILL go for a walk. Running will start again next week and I hope I haven't lost all my fitness! I am so sick of how I feel right now, bloated and yucky. I wanna feel fit and healthy again! Lets get back to it people.
New house, new job, new body, same (awesome ) me!

With uni that is!
So healthy eating and working out is not happening. I blame the stress, but that is just a cop out. It is just because I have gotten lazy and can't be bothered. Because of the stress.
Maths assignment handed in today, and if I was at all religious I would have said a prayer at the drop box. It is going to take a miracle to get me through this one!
I just have one more assignment (technology) and a group presentation (deafness) left for the year! AND I was way early for uni today coz my group meeting was cancelled, then uncancelled but I didn't know, do I had 3 hours to do nothing but my assignment. I'm nearly done. Score!
And thats my life. I've sent out a million house inquiries so hopefully we can find a nice place that is in our price range. Fingers crossed people! The one we wanted was taken, as I was rudely told this morning. I called up to check and the woman told me it had gone. I just said that it was a shame coz we were very interested and she said "Yeah, well, its gone". Yep, thanks, got that. Then I called a lovely lady who was only too happy to help me arrange a viewing of another place :)
OK, off to watch Desperate Housewives. I loooooooooove that show!

I am so cool right now. All employed. At a job I think I'm really, really gonna like.
So I went for a third interview. I think the manager was impressed that i dragged my ass up to the shop on a Saturday afternoon. Gotta go above and beyond, people!
I had all the right answers and impressed the interviwer so much that he offered me the job right there and then when he had said he would probably get back to me next week when we first sat down.
The pay is good, the bonuses are great and the staff discount is incredible!
Happy, happy me!

This is not my recipe. But I made it and calculated the calories so I will share it anyways!
Hokey Pokey. HoneyComb. Sponge Candy. Delicious. Since I am a kiwi we shall call it Hokey Pokey, coz that is what makes me happy :)
If you are unsure what I am talking about (it goes by other names) check here
Yes my friends. Hokey Pokey. It is delicious, so easy and quick to make AND considering it is a big lump of melted sugar the calories aren't bad.
The whole lump has 344 calories.
And there is no way you will wanna eat the whole thing. It isn't healthy but if you are needing a sweet hit you could make this, have a bit and not feel bad!
So, my friends, follow these directions and you will have hokey pokey in no time
*WARNING! WARNING! Use you common sense people. You will be melting sugar. DO NOT do this with young children/ pets in the room. However older children may enjoy watching you make this as there is a cool chemical reaction at the end. Use your noggin, don't take risks with boiling sugar!*
You will need:
5Tbsp White Sugar
2Tbsp Golden Syrup
1tsp Baking soda
Pan - Line with baking paper and have it ready when you start. Trust me.
1. In a saucepan over a medium heat combine 5T of sugar and 2T of golden syrup.
2. Stir sugar and syrup constantly until sugar dissolves.
3. Once dissolved crank up the heat and boil the mixture.
4. Once it starts to boil turn the heat down again and let the mixture simmer for around 5 minutes, stirring.
* The mixture will bubble up and start to increase in size. This is normal and wanted*
5. After 5 minutes of simmering remove from the heat.
6. Add in 1t of baking soda and stir QUICKLY!!! The mixture will lighten in colour and foam.
7. Quickly pour the mixture into a prepared pan.
8. Leave to set. When it is cool it is ready! Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
The pieces can be dipped in chocolate if desired.
This would make an awesome homemade christmas gift! Cheap and very quick to make!
To clean to pan simply soak in warm water for a minute. The mixture stuck to the inside of the pan and to the wooden spoon will just dissolve away!
There ya go, an old favourite and sparkable in moderation.
I remember making this in 3rd form and it went so horribly wrong. I don't know what we did but it ended up like a soft caramel. Who knows? It worked tonight though!
