So I go on my trip in 34 hours. Yikes. That means in 58 hours I will be in the states! OMG. I am freaking out.
So in NZ tipping is not the done thing. We tip occasionally, only at restaurants and only if the service is exceptional, and even then it is at peoples discretion. However, I know that in the states tipping is the common and done thing. So, if you don't mind could you give me some pointers? Who do I tip, and how much? For example, I know I need to tip in restaurants, but what about fast food places? When I get a coffee? When I get on a bus? I have no clue, as you can see! It is just not in my culture to tip!
Thanks for your help!

Stolen from Chaley3 who stole from someone else, etc.
Where is my cell phone?
Sitting next to me. I am attached to it since starting a LDR (Long Distance Relationship!)
Not the married kind. I am in a relationship, though!
Curly and wild
Usually lots of fun
Your favorite thing?
Watching a movie while having cuddles
Your dream last night?
Diet ginger beer
What room are you in?
Tonnes. I really hate flying. Should be fun with over 40 hours of flying in 3 weeks...
Where do you want to be in 6 years?
Hmmm I will be 30... Married
Where were you last night?
At my house having a BBQ with my parents
Something that you aren't?
Yes please. Banana walnut, if you've got it!
Wish list item?
I have everything I want. Could probably use a new pair of running shoes sooner rather than later
Last thing you did?
Pat the cat who is snoozing next to me
What are you wearing?
honestly... nothing. I just woke up and I sleep nakie
5 cats, but one is my exs and he is taking him soon :(
Awesome. Meeting my BFF for 5 days of fun in LA. Seeing her in 2 weeks!
Yes, see previous comment about LDR :(
Yes please! Actually I'm not a big drinker... When I do I like Smirnoff Ice Double Black (strong!) and shooters. Since I only drink a couple of times a year I like to go big or go home.
Red convertible... The roof leaks and my door shakes and makes noises when my foot is on the break...
Something you're not wearing?
Your favorite store?
KMart. No where else can you buy a whole wardrobe for under $100!
Your favorite color?
When is the last time you cried?
A couple of days ago
Favorite place to eat?
Tanukis Cave, a Japanese yakatori restaurant in Auckland central. Yummy food, good quality, and the portions are small so you can have lots of little things.
Favorite place I'd like to be right now?
With my new man. 5.5 weeks until I fly to see him!

Lose 1.1kg, taking me to 70kg. This is a HUGE goal to have for December, and so close to my goal weight! I will try my best to meet it!
I hit 70kg on the 22nd of the month, even with a 2 day birthday blow out the previous week! Then I hit 69kg, my goal weight, 4 days later on the 26th. I have lost 2.1kg in December, my biggest monthly loss since January! Since the 26th I have bounced around and had a little water weight gain (eating out with my friend), but I am sure it will go back to normal in a day or 2.
Track 6 days a week. Keep to the lower end of my calorie range and try to hit the middle of my protein range.
I tracked most days (not my birthday dinners). I stayed within my calorie range most days, and I have started getting more protein.
Workout 5 days a week, minimum.
I worked out for an average of 5 days a week (some weeks 4, others 6). Iím calling that a success.
My 69kg picture
Maintain my weight loss. Since I am going to be on holiday for 3 weeks I am not expecting to lose, but I would like to maintain. I am planning on making good choices with the occasional splurge on one time only foods. For example, I wonít be eating a mars bar, because I can get those in NZ. If there is an area specialty that I couldnít get anywhere else, and I would like to try it, then I will.
I wonít be tracking on holiday, since I donít know what my internet access will be like. And, if I'm honest, I don't want to be spending time tracking while I'm on my once-in-a-lifetime-very-expensive trip.
It will be business as usual until I leave on the 9th. After that I will be walking a lot, and I will be trying to do some quick ST once every 2 days (push ups, squats, lunges, planks, etc) space permitting. While exercise wonít be my main priority I will be taking every opportunity to be active. I hope to walk and bus everywhere, so I will be moving!
