My week so far

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

emoticon Monday is boxing day. Gosh, I love hitting things. I pushed myself and got a good sweat on. I had awful chocolate cravings yesterday. Terrible. I went over my calories a little because I stopped resisting. I don't have those days often, so I will live. Maybe I get PMS cravings even though I don't get a period?

emoticon I had boot camp tonight. Fun, as always. The trainer played a game with shuttle cocks, and as you can imagine, the 'cock' jokes were flying. So, so funny. The poor trainer was really regretting not having a game with another prop to collect. I think I overdid it, and my quad hurts tonight. Icing it and gonna see how I feel tomorrow.

emoticon I have been starving all day today! I can't get enough food! I have eaten nearly 1900 calories and I am still hungry! I was too high on fat, a little low on carbs, so maybe that is why? Or maybe I am hungry because I am kicking the exercise up a notch? I have changed my goals to reflect my new exercise level, but my range only changed by 30 calories, so that was no help...

emoticon I'm on strike tomorrow afternoon. My first strike, how exciting. It is a stop work meeting that all NZ teachers are encouraged to attend, so off I go to...do... union stuff!

emoticon My trip is now fully booked. I just need to start saving some spending money!! And pay off credit cards. And get a second job so I can actually afford this holiday!
And thats me!

But who will look after the my kids if all you teachers go on strike?? I couldn't possibly be responsible for looking after them! Just kiddin'! My sister in law is a teacher in Chch. Your gunz are looking awesome. On the calorie issue...It appears that girls get hungry when they exercise a lot more than boys. So I battle away at the hunger. My only advice (which is rather flimsy) is to eat loads of fruit and vege and fibre and see if that fills you up. I'm also a Coke Zero fiend...I lost 1kg this week while averaging over 2000 calories a day. I think exercise just starts to kick the metabolism up a notch. Don't stress about the hunger, enjoy the exercise, and take care of yourself!

Awesome job with the workouts! I don't know what to tell you about the hunger issue... I'm feeling the same way lately.

I can't wait for your trip! I can't imagine how excited you must be!

You are doing awesome!! emoticon

It sounds like you're getting some great work outs in!!! Good for you!

I'm curious about your "On strike" statement... what are you referring to here? Are your teachers striking?

Have a wonderful day!

Wow! Your workouts sound fun! How is your water intake? Sometimes our body signals hunger when it's actually thirsty.

On strike! I hope that all is safe and positive. People can get pretty mean when talking about money.
Enjoy the day! emoticon Read my blog "Pressing on!"

The weekend

Sunday, November 18, 2012

emoticon Yesterday was a total rest day. I worked out every day after work last week (2x boxing, 2x boot camp, 1 x weights), so I think I earned a rest. And I didn't get up until after 11am yesterday morning... Most of the day was gone anyway! I ended up meeting a friend for coffee, and rediscovered peppermint mochas from Starbucks. Be still my heart. I may get fat again, just from peppermint mochas... YUMMY.

emoticon This morning I did the super fitness thing and ran to the gym, then did my workout. Dad picked me up so I didn't have to run home again. It was a good run except for an insane head wind. I felt like I should have been flying, but I looked like I was on Bay Watch. It was that strong! I really pushed myself at the gym, and even added extra stuff in that isn't on my program. I love working out, it keeps me sane!

emoticon I had lunch with my ex today. It was really nice. Just chatting and catching up, no pressure. We have seen each other a handful of times in the past couple of weeks. We still enjoy each others company. Afterwards we went shopping for clothes. Nothing for me (I actually have to start saving for my trip). Later I met with a friend for coffee, and did the food shopping.

So that is my weekend. Eating was OK, but the drinking on Friday probably threw my calories for a loop... Not much damage on the scale, so that's good news :) Now, I should get on with my planning for next week!

Oh, as a side note, last week I said I had a couple of dates with a boy. Yeah, we aren't seeing each other anymore. Just wasn't gonna work out.

    Hi Bubble,
It sounds like you are a very happy woman, moving forward in your life. You have realistic expectations in relationships and that is so good.
Too bad the "boy" didn't work out. Better to know now than later.
Good that you stay in touch with your ex. Good friends who know you are so important.

The best thing I love, though, is that you look so happy in both photos. You are beautiful no matter what you weigh, and you look like you know this (which is excellent)!!

Went out drinking last night (pics)

Friday, November 16, 2012

Long story short, I looked hot

We started in an upmarket suburb for a cocktail, then headed into town for a dance. Ended up taking a tuk tuk bike halfway up town (luckily he accepted a kiss on the cheek instead of full payment), tried to get into a male strip show, considered having a plan B of a female strip show, went to Sky City and sung Whitney Huston in the foyer, and somehow ended up meeting up with a couple of guys who play basketball for the NZ team. One crazy night!

Yep... 1kg of water weight this morning tho... Pay back sucks!

Also, I am loving your hair. I may have to show your pic to my stylist when I go Tuesday to see if it is a style that will work for me.

My friend on the left is 6'1" and plays basketball for NZ. The friend on my right is slouching, she is 5'11". I am the shorty of the trio. Odd for me since I am usually the tallest!

Sounds like it might have been more than ONE cocktail before heading into town - LOL!

New weights program

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Holy moly, my trainer is trying to kill me

Swiss ball chest press - 12kg dumbells

Weighted static lunges - 8kg dumbbells (I have lost 16kg, so it is the same weight I lunged in the beginning!

Wall sit - 30 seconds

Assisted chin ups - 30kg counter weight

Assisted dips - 20kg counter weight

Barbell shrug/squat/press - 17.5kg

Hanging knee raises - Body weight

Yeah, I gave the trainer the eyebrow about this one! But I did it and it was fun

So, yep... My trainer has fun with my plan. I told him that my plan seems to get harder when I am cheeky... He didn't deny it!

As a side note, boot camp nearly killed me tonight. I nearly didn't make it. It was so, so, tough. I am gonna hurt tomorrow!!! LOVE IT!
