I'm back!

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

It's been a long time since I've been on here but I'm back. A lot of things changed over the past year, I've moved into a new position at work, moved into a new house and gotten in a new relationship. In the mist of all of this I also lost track of looking out for me. I realized over the past year, that I was stressing over a lot of things but now I'm back on track. Reality hit me once my clothes started shrinking ;( and I was feeling tired all the time. Yes, I have gained some weight but you know what I'm about to get rid of it like I did before and this time, there's no turning back. My SP friends encouraged me on my journey and I thank everyone for the support. So since everything has changed for the better, it's about time for me to get back to putting me first. Without good health, I wouldn't be here to help others. So, I'm calling out all my Spark friends, to help guide me through this journey once and for all.

Marvin's Motivational Moment "Character Thought" You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one. It takes work but it's within you to do.

"Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments." (Marvin Sapp)

I love this message because in order to see your accomplishments you have to be so discipline. You have to stay focus and make it up the hill. You have good days and bad ones too but never give up. Determination is the key. I'm determined to make it pass this plateau! emoticon

So true! All we can do is try not to have to stay on the 'discipline bridge' too long because we'll get tempted to fail. But, failure is just a stepping stone to success - NOBODY was perfect the first time through!

You'll get there girl!

Day #10

Monday, July 26, 2010

Last week was great. I completed my entire workout for the week. I'm doing P90X and spinning and other cardio. I did not over do it and I actually felt great. I didn't take a day off, I figure that I can do something everyday even if its only 15 minutes of abs workouts. Yesterday was my 9th day straight of working out. I sometimes get stiff if I miss a day. My 9 year old daughter has join me in my at home workouts and its fun because she pushes me a lot. We both sweat so hard together. LOL

I'm loving the spinning classes so I want to pick it up a notch and add one more day this week. Hopefully I will see some results in my thighs real soon from spinning. LOL I need them to shed a few inches or more. Yesterday and Saturday I did my P90X workouts and abs, it was a killer but I completed them. I'm feeling so good this morning and hope to continue to feel this way forever!!!!

Spinning class

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Yesterday I did spinning class. I've done it before about 3 years ago and it made my butt hurt so bad that I couldn't go back. I was in pain for almost a week after that torture. But yesterday was different, I really enjoyed it. Not to say I wasn't watching the clock the whole time. Anyway, I made it through the whole 55 minutes. I was drenched with sweat but I felt great and energized afterwards. Now that's what I am talking about. I need a challenging cardio and I think this may be it. I'm hoping to attend this class a few times a week and work my way up to four times. I always gotta switch up workouts because I get bored really fast. emoticon

Never been to a spin class - maybe I'll give it a try. I too get bored with the same routine - it is always good to spice it up with something new!
Thanks for sharing!

I love spin and I had the same thing happen to me, I was in pain at least a week. I went out and bought me a gel seat cushion from sports authority. It really helped.

I am able to last the entire hour, but I will be honest I am always looking at the clock!! lol

It is really a great workout... emoticon

Yeah - I love spin class, but I too watch the clock. !5 minutes in I am usually thinking, "you got to be kidding -- we're not even half way done!" By 50 minutes though, I am often ready to push another 30 minutes or so and sometimes stay for a second class (when there is space).
