Just finished my Biggest Loser Cardio Max dvd!!! In my frontroom . . . with the roommate watching! She even said she'd join me tomorrow - yaaaaay! I am soooo exhausted tho! Its been a while since I used it and WOW, I forgot how hard it was. Dont get me wrong tho - I love to sweat!!!
A sweet victory for my healthy lifestyle! I got this! I can do whatever I set my mind to! Look out fat - ur goin DOWN!!!

So Im trying to keep motivated abt what kinda exercise to do now that my buddy, the elliptical, is no longer with us. 2 good SparkFriends - MOMMY_NONNY and HWNHMMBRD - suggested inside cardio w DVDS. Great Idea, ladies!!! But there are 2 obstacles I gotta get over first.
1~Kids dont nap anymore so Id have to find a time -just 30mins- when they can play quietly by themselves
2~My roommate is home during the morning.
The first one isnt too bad to solve. The kids are at an age where they will play by themselves, sometimes together, quietly. Its just a matter of keeping them engaged while they do it so I get in the full 20-30mins. An option I have heard is to use certain toys ONLY for workout times - it keeps those toys fun bc they are limited. BUT I really think once they see me on the floor 'dancing'/'playing' they will want to join in. Honestly, I think it would be for them to join in - see Mommy setting a good example still (they used to LOVE to get on the elliptical and 'exercise' AKA play until my LO got hurt) and them wearin off some energy also!!!
The second one is gonna take some guts and bravery. If u dont follow me, we have a roommate that lives w us and sleeps on the couch til we move next month and she gets her own room. Well she doesnt go to work til noon, 1pm so all morning shes in the frontroom w us. Thats where I had our elliptical. Id put on tv and workout. Well now that I gotta use the cardio DVDs, Im a lil shy to bounce around the frontroom in front of her. W my elliptical, I was in my own lil corner and we watched tv. She even used it from time to time. But this time its gonna take up the whole frontroom and the tv. I dont really think she will join in w the dvd - shes really introverted and stays to herself. I was really shocked when she got on the elliptical while we were in the room.
But u know what?! Im in great shape, eating healthy, and feeling alive! I wanna keep this feeling GOING so I gotta put on my Big Girl panties and do what I gotta do! Maybe I will inspire her to come outta her comfort zone. We shall see!!

So this morning is my usual routine. Take the pup out , make coffee , and then step on the scale . Its not a certain day. Im a daily weigher. I know, I can hear the gasping now!
Well after the crazy day/week I just had I wasnt expecting the scale to be nice to me. I have kept eating healthy 80% of the time, even when I didnt want to, but my cardio was lacking something MAJOR! 65mins for the week when my goal is 150mins. I had so much stress going on and I put it off in leu of other things. Not a good habit, but I did it. I was prepared to suffer the consequences. Back to this morning . . . I get on the scale and it says 228.5!!! Step off and back on - 229. Step off and back on -after all, 2 outta 3 wins- 228.5!!! And back on again JUST TO MAKE SURE - 228.5!!!!! I DID IT! I broke 229lbs!!!
I was so thrilled that I started doin my Happy Dance. Hubby thought I was crazy but hey, who cares! Dance like no one's watching right?!!! So now I have a renewed sense of motivation for the week. Yeah, the half pound, even a whole pound, may creep back up in the next day or two, but Ima try my HARDEST to stay in my healthy ways -eat right and exercise consistently- to keep the numbers moving DOWN . Who knows - maybe I will reach that 227lbs goal in 3 days. LOL - I dont expect it but would be pretty AWESOME!
BTW it kinda brings up a question . . . why now??? To me it seems this 'fat' is MELTING off! I started balancing my carbs and being more consistent with exercise in the beginning of Feb. Im almost at 2 months now and I have gone from 235 to 228.5lbs - thats a loss of 6.5lbs!!! I guess when I do the math it seems reasonable - less than a lb a week. Maybe it just seems more bc I broke out of the 230s, which I havent been out of since before I was preg with my first (5+ yrs ago!).
Oh well - Ima take it!!! I put forth alotta hard work for it. I deserve it Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

So my hubby got on the ellptical this afternoon and it went Kerplooy!!! Both leg paddles broke. The belt and ball barings came off. Yes, my hubby tried fixing it. It was really old tho. Atleast 5yrs, if not more. That was my one and only way to get in cardio thru out the day. Its so hard to get outside to do walking with a 4 and 2 yr old. They just cant keep up the pace at which I really get my heartrate going. And pushing em in the double stroller - well, they dont like to sit and ride much anymore.
Im not too stressed abt it. It is what it is. Im gonna try to find time to get outside but Im not gonna stress if I dont. With my health being what it is, and us moving in a month, I will have enuf stress without adding the 'no cardio' part.
Im apprehensive abt putting the several pounds I have lost back on, but at this point its outta our control.
We will see what the next several wks will bring.
