My energy is back!

So is my drive toward increasing exercise, and healthy eating. Given the messes we've been through this summer, the amount of quick pick up meals, and the dearth of home cooking and deccrese in the good veggies we're both kind of blah. My stomach rebelled finally..better now.

    Glad to hear you are feeling better, Bridie. It doesn't take long to lose our energy when we fall "off the wagon". But, it's amazing how a step in the right direction can give us the much needed boost to get us motivated again.

Low on clories nd everything else today..

not feeling well. My tummy only behaves with broth and yogurt. I did get a brisk walk in however.

We're adjusting to the loss of our dog, but it's still so strange and we miss her.

Long time since I blogged..

On the personal front, our DIY home reno on our fixer upper is done, just this week. We also had to put down our beautiful canine companion due to cancer, and it's frankly killing us.

On the political convvention front, I think Michelle knocked it right out of the park last night. Awesome woman!

Rededicating to focus on diet and exercise. Joined a walking challenge, mde sure my gym membership is up to date, and have a ton of fresh veggies in the fridge. Appreciate all the help nd support I can get.

working on the food intake..portion control, limiting carbs to wht my nutritonist wnts me to have daily for the diabetes, and finding portion control a rel bugger. Sigh. Like the new gym, nice enough most days to wlk outside too, and I am feeling more energetic at least, if not skinnier.

    i was told it takes 3 weeks of dedication to all of those things before it is even noticeable, take patient care, it WILL COME AND YOU WILL SEE IT..WAY TO GO!

    Walking outside......I am so looking forward to doing that regularly again. Our winter has been mild but up and down....over the weekend, it was in the 30s. Yesterday it was in the 60s. CRAZY!

Bad habits are easy to form and..

hard to break. We got into the habit of eating quickie meals, prepared foods, and unhealthy choices when without a kitchen all that time. I am finding it hard now to cut the carbs, eliminate the junk, and get back to what once was our easy normal. Need to lose 10 to 13 lbs, which i swore wouldn't ever happen again, am great bout walking, but hven't been to the gym since Mondy, because I dread running into a woman there so intense I feel invaded, and I need to get over myself and stop making excuses.

  Changed to a different gym hour yesterday, and the woman wasn't there. I am replcing the bd choices with good..but crave the bad choices, which leads to "just this once" thinking and ctions..more than once. It's so strange, because I went five years without junk food and prepred cr@p and had come to prefer helthy choices hands down. They must put weirdness into all that take out nd those packages that promotes cravings, cuz they ren't really all that good! There's a cleanse diet I did for a couple weeks last year after the holidays poromoted something similar..worked..I'll have to dig it out..

    I haven't found a gym yet in my area. The Y closed. emoticon I am so sorry this woman is causing you to be uncomfortable.

Have you tried replacin the baddies with one that is the better choice. Something like that may help you get back into the healthier way with your eating.

Hang in there, it will all come together for you.
