and am still in maintenanace, albeit with more struggle right now due to special events and house guests to tempt me...up a lb. and working on it. I now have a top weight in my mind beyond which I refuse to gain, so get right on it when I hit 130 and get it off! Plenty of exercise lately..60 to 90 minutes in the garden every day, five days a week at the gym. I'm loving it!

Which is nice for sure..but what's even nicer is that my WOE and regular exercise have become a habit, and are now my norm! Who would have thunk it?

WOE and exercise have to be the norm if we want to make a permanent change! Congratualtions on exceeding your goal!

Trouble area

Sunday, February 24, 2008

Whenever I get close to meeting my goal, I slack off. Right now I am within 0.5 lbs of my original goal again, and would love to get there.Meanwhile, I have changed my goal to 5 lbs lighter. So have 5.5 lbs to lose for the new goal. I wonder if I sabotage myself, afraid to succeed? Or if as a former anorexic I fear going too far? The new weight I have chosen is a healthy one for me, and I keep reinterating that with myself.

I understand your concern. I know I kinda hold my breath everytime I add another 5 pound goal to my list. I remind myself that it honesty is to just challenge myself to 1) not slack off and keep myself in check and 2) if I lose it great but if my body doesn't want me too - thats all good too! This way I don't get crazymaking over trying to lose. That leads to some unhealthy thinking! ~hugs
