3 miles + weights

Today I finally did it again. I completed my second week of lifting weights at the gym. Then tonight we went ahead and ran three miles. We were pushing it like never before! Unfortunately it was cloudy so I think our Garmin wasn't working correctly. We did the 3 miles in 31.58 mins but we were going 8-9 mins a lot of the time. So strange. I have read that people have this problem at different times with the Garmin too. Lol A little coconut water and I was all back to normal - minus a slight pain in my upper leg. A good nights' sleep will cure that for me nicely.

Breakfast: Oatmeal with Chiaseeds and Flaxseeds No Banana today - grr

Lunch: Brown Rice mixture with veggies (photo of today is missing but it is pretty much like this one)

Snack: Protein Shake - vegan

Dinner: BBQ Baby!!!
Lentil Quinoa Sweet Potato Vegan Burger - homemade
homemade- salt & vinegar potato chips on grill

Herbal Tea with almond milk and brown sugar

    Yay for ST and a run!! I'm going to be testing out my new GPS for my Polar HRM soon. I wonder how flaky it's going to be.
No banana, very say but the oatmeal still looks very tasty.

Fighting Banana

I lost the battle with my banana this morning... What does it mean when you can't get a banana to rip open? Sadly I spent about five minutes trying everything I could but it wouldn't budget. My fruit is now fighting back...

Just got back from a weight lifting workout and my legs are tired. I hope I can make it through the afternoon so that I can run tonight with the hubby. We only have three miles marked down for tonight - so I should be okay even after lifting weights. I'll let you all know.

Running around

Wow! The last two days have flown past! Or maybe it was just me running around. The weather is fantastic out! I love spring/summer! I hope it stays this way for along time. Tonight we did a 5 mile run in 80F weather. Perfect! I wrote about my daily meals and exercise on my site:

2 Hours of Working Out in Sunshine!

My key to moderation:
2 hours of running = 1 lovely homemade vegan portion of strawberry shortcake! Yum!!!

We did so much on our "day off from working out" that I am tired and burnt. I wouldn't change it for the world! It's such a blessing to have the ability to workout, and with a great man!

    It's a picnic blanket that rolls up - isn't it great! We love it! Perfect for hiking or walking to the park for a meal.

Farmers Market and Sweating Out the Sugar

Today we decided it was time to get some healthy, fresh produce from the farmers market. We love to help out local, small business owners so we thought we should try to see what the farmers market had to offer. Check out our visit and our 4 mile run with 2 mile walk today at .
