Day 13 of 30 Day Shred

Sadly, I have to announce that the weight scale I use has been preset to hate me. I am justifying my anger at gaining those few pounds I saw as a weight lose the other day. It was one day of happiness but was short lived due to my weight scale. Does anyone know how to make a weight scale love its owner once again? I have to do some major kissing up to it somehow and fast! haha

Today is day #13 of my 30 day plan with Jillian Michaels. I am a little disappointed though (always an emotional rollercoaster while dieting for me) because I have not lose any pounds; spend more than 80 minutes 7x a week; and eat around 1200 calories a day. It is tiring to do everything is possible but not see the results. My husband states that he has noticed a difference however he is endlessly loving me for who I am; such a good guy but doesn't make it easier when trying to lose weight. Love is blinding...

As of right now, I'm trying to build up my energy to start my 80 minute workout today. Today it just seems so hard to get into things. I hope that I can get into when I start and then work extra hard for those results that I want. Wish me luck! I wish everyone luck in their weight lose/ healthy lifestyle journey! emoticon

    emoticon OK - time to throw the scale out the window. Mine hates me too! Time to find the old measuring tape. The stuff we are doing HAS to be doing something good to us - especially the workout you have going on! Find the tape - inches must be coming off. Maybe there is a new gravitational force coming from the inside of the earth which is pulling our scales off balance??????

Finally the weight is going off...

Yesterday I took my daily plunge into the bathroom to weight myself; I was more than ready to shed another tear for another day without weight lose. Fortunately for my moral, I finally saw a change in my weight!!! I started at 150-149 pounds and I am not happily at 146 pounds! That is a total of around 4 pounds lost! I was so thrilled, I think I gave my still sleeping husband a near heart-attack! It has been really hard to get my body to shed these pounds, working almost two hours a day exercising and eating healthy. It is a gift from God to see these changes and I am thankful that I am being blessed to change my life. Now I hope that I can continue to lose weight from here on out and see more changes in the future! emoticon emoticon I promise to continue

    emoticon that's excellent!!!! I did the same thing yesterday and I got on the scale 3 times to see if it was really true - I lost 1 pound! I haven't seen the scale move down in a very long time so I know how you feel! emoticon

So I am trying to lose my very first pound and I am not fighting it sitting down. I have decided that if I really want to lose weight I really have to fight it. It is war pesky pounds! I did two videos levels from 30 Day Shred and man does Jillian Michael's do what she preaches! I am working harder than ever with those videos and I hope to see some sort of success this week! Everyone please wish me luck! Now that the videos are over with I am off to go run for around 40 minutes outdoors in the sunshine! emoticon

Do Pounds Really Come off?

Is it me or do pounds never really come off once they have attached themselves to our bodies? This week marks my fourth week on the diet, that is one month, with no results yet. I have not lost one pound! I was watching a movie on NOVA about everyday people trying to run a marathon in Boston. Apparently non of those people lost weight except for one person that was running and doing circuit training. I am doing both so I hope that I will see some results sometime soon. Is anyone else having this problem? I can't seem to lose my first pound.... emoticon

    It's the first pound and then the 10th pound and the 20th pound and so on that is the hardest. To me the vereeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hardest was the food tracking. Disciplining myself to sit down and record everything I ate. I started in January and the one thing I had decided was to stick with the food tracker if nothing else. I thinks it's starting to kick in. I often refer to the tracker before I have that extra snack on Saturday night. Now, don't get me wrong, I have a long way to go I still have many days that I fail at staying within the numbers. But, I am still trying and I really believe that if you track your food and pay attention to the numbers you can not fail.

    I really didn't lose much my first month either - my body held on to water like it was going out of style until I started drinking 10+ cups a day instead of just 8. But it WILL happen soon.

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred

The other day I came across someone that stated she loved this DVD but found that it wasn't for her. I put it aside until I came another friend that mentioned it. I am not sure if the popularity is due to the Biggest Loser television show or if this lady has it going on. So, I decided to go to my favorite site, youtube and I found the video series on it. I tried it out and I think I might just purchase it now. I am going to try it for a few more days and then see what I think. It is so nice to try something out before having to pay for it! I found that the DVD was a little easy though and didn't work out my entire body as I had hoped. This might be because I have been exercising like crazy lately though. Time will tell. I will let you know what I think. I am going to use the DVD set for exercising before I go to the gym - it warms up the body nicely. emoticon
