Well, I like to end on a positive note... so I'll start with the negative.
I like to eat my meals in an upside down triangle... so breakfast being the biggest meal, then lunch, and dinner the smallest. I can't remember where I learned that, but it seriously makes a TON of sense! Who needs to eat a grip of food before bedtime?!
So today was the perfect example of what NOT to do. We were running late this morning (being a temporary single mom is hard!) and breakfast was hot tea and two boiled eggs, one which I ate after church. Lunch was the recently cooked red beef curry (from Every Day Paleo--pretty delish!) And I was full after eating about 1.5cps of that... so I stopped eating. Then I finally mustered enough to work out... and it slowly took me a while after I ran (2.3mi while pushing 30lb kid) to do 30DS, and then finally to do Yoga Meltdown (YM).
Obviously after working out 103 minutes (hooray! met goal #3) I was pretty hungry. One of my goals I didn't blog about was eating a salad everyday. So I made a salad for dinner. And of course my calories were so low for the day (less than 500 for the day so far) that I needed to beef it up. 6oz of Pecan Crusted Chicken & 3 oz of Avocado will take care of that for you! For once (the past couple days), I'm RIGHT in my calorie goal, without eating any junk food.
My 90/10 goal is met today. I had some feta cheese on my salad *nom nom* and I'm resisting the urge to finish up that kettle corn and PB M&Ms (I'll save those for another day). I especially felt guilty thinking about eating those sweets since the Junk Free January challenge started today ( robbwolf.com/2012/01/01/still
-time-to-sign-up-for-junk-free-january ) and my name shows up under Double Challenge (Gluten Free & Sweets - to include dried fruits & juices). So... maybe after Jan 31
(edit: 5 minutes later... HA I realized I inadvertently broke my sweets rule I ate a larabar for some energy before workout--Cherry Pie, so there was dried fruit! Guess I start tomorrow then! In that case... I might as well eat those PB M&Ms ...bwahaha)
Met my SPP (SP points) goal, made 100pts today! So that's cool. I also got 9hrs of sleep last night (hooray!).
Speaking of sleep... I'm about to shower and get me and the kid ready for bed. He didn't get to nap, so I'm sure he's pretty delirious... and I need to start getting in the zone of sleeping early (another goal I set on SP-get 8hrs of sleep a night...sometimes a struggle when I have to get up at 5 for work).
Overall, a pretty successful day. Hopefully I can keep this up once I start work on Tuesday! :D

My Goals for 2012. Wow. One more year until my 10-yr reunion!
1) Paleo 90/10 or 85/15. I love food. I'll be honest. And I have a crazy thing for sweets. Especially during that *special* time. But these days that hubby has been gone (he left Wed morning, and I started "serious" paleo on Thursday... have been pretty awesome. I'm regular (perhaps TMI), I'm not crazy hungry, and God has helped me with some of my indulgences. There have been pre-set indulgences. I knew yesterday I was getting crab rangoons because I didn't get them the Wednesday when I wanted to. There was some cheating on Thursday (cause let's face it, going anything to zero is super hard!), and today, well some more rangoons (they're addicting!) And seriously, I'll probably cave and eat some popcorn and peanut butter m&ms in a little bit. But. I know it's coming.
2) 50 Spark Points a day. It keeps me accountable (tracking what I eat), and working out. Granted, it's easier to work out when I'm actually working, these past 2 weeks my schedule has been off, so there isn't as much "mandatory" working out as there normally would be.
3) Work out 60 min a day. Helps contribute to #2.
4) Finish my Masters. I'm 3 classes away, including the capstone.
5) I was going to say do an Half Ironman. And then I tried to look at the races to actually pick one with a date... but my surgery in the upcoming month (still so much unknown, like a date!) will greatly hinder my training. I suppose, I shall shoot for one in 2013. 13 is my lucky number anyway. So.. This number means I'll find at least one triathlon to do in Clarksville, or Nashville. Or something.
And since it's taken me like 3hrs to write this blog... I'm signing off. To be Continued. If needed.

Well, in half the world it's already the New Year ;)
Thank you everyone, I met my goal. I might have "cheated" a little... :P
You know, watched the Fox video of how SP started (totally amazing btw-totally recommend it! It's at the bottom of your SP pts page, you get 10pts for it :D), and I also switched to Stage 3, went through what motivates me to lose weight, and have started a collage on pinterest of motivational stuff.... so here I am 1pt away from meeting my goal, so this blog will put me +2 over my goal. I didn't think it was possible, but thank you everyone for believing in me!
Today was quite the day. I watched my friends' three girls (12, 6, 5) and boy oh boy did they suck the energy out of me! It made me realize how much I do as a parent, that you can't really do with other kids for an extended period of time. They eat a lot (and dirty a lot of dishes), they want to play with electronics (they took the computer, ipad, and at one point my phone, and my camera)... so I was sitting downstairs taking a break of dishes and cooking, and thought, "well... what can I do without my phone or computer?" I had no idea I was so reliant on those two things throughout the day! Needless to say, it was still a huge blessing for me to watch them, it forced me to clean the house last night (even if I procrastinated and went to bed around midnight), and I got to try out the Every Day Paleo berry cobbler. A-mazing! I'm starting to pick up some things I like in her book. :D Hope it makes it worth the $30 we paid.. or maybe $20 since we used a Books a Million coupon.
Anyway. Here I am. Sore from Yoga Meltdown and Shred Level 3... and glad I got to walk a slow mile around the block with the girls (they rode their bikes and I pushed the kid).

I'm so competitive, I thought it'd be a great idea to break to my next level of sparkpoints before the new year... well, that's like 150 points away, I've already earned 100pts today, and I'm boosting it up by writing a blog. Does that make me crazy? lol. Probably yes...and just further proves that I am all about REWARDS! Even these imaginary sparkpoints.
Anyway. Tomorrow will be the real, sit down and ponder New Year's resolutions and all that jazz. Today, I actually stuck to mostly Paleo (minus those delicious crab rangoons I *knew* I was going to eat :P)... and somehow I'm still less than my calorie range... even though I'm not hungry (1300ish). I dunno.

And what a Christmas it was indeed! Our first one together, that we didn't spend in Hawaii. It was hard, especially on me missing the church family so much... here's the run down.
Bestie and her family were visiting her parents about 45min away... so we joined in their festivities for their family dinner 12/23. That was super fun. Her daughter is about 3 days older than Z, so my friend and I were preggo together, but she looked better and had way more fun than I did.
Christmas Eve we cruised around the house a lot, Zeke opened one present, we went for a ruck march (I'm trying to get up to doing 6miles with 35lbs on my back in 90 minutes). We only did 3.65mi and it was pretty slow, but it was better than not doing *anything* that day... other than Christmas Eve service at Awaken. Afterwards we headed home and after talking to the Christmas Santa (aka my mom), she said we could open all presents Christmas Eve since our Christmas day was pretty packed.
Needless to say, Zeke got a lot of Thomas the Train Mega Blocks stuff (which means a billion little pieces for parents to pick up around the house), I got a bunch of Rachel Ray cooking stuff to add to our collection, as well as perfect perfume and earrings from Marcus :D love them! Unfortunately he has to wait a couple days for his present-flying to Hawaii for our the Refresh retreat.
Christmas day meant we were driving to Princeton, KY to Sarah's parents' church for service at 1000. We had no idea that there wouldn't be childcare. If I knew, I don't think I would have joined them... but it wasn't too bad. But just imagine my squirmy climbing kid... sitting on the balcony of a Southern Baptist church.. Seriously thought he was going to go overboard, or someone would yell at us or something. But we survived. Then headed to the Segree Sanctuary (her parents' house down the road) for lunch and some hangout time. We were going to go for a leisurely "yog" until I got the dreaded phone call... actually... it was a call on my personal cell because apparently the severe wx standby phone, was forwarding every call to someone else... Either way, our hang out time was cut very short, as I had to rush to work to try and fix some communication things.
Thankfully my boss and a few others were super helpful in trying to get things up and running, and after 3hrs, I was able to go home. Still slightly funny that it was my first week on standby, and I get called in (during perfectly good weather)... on Christmas day. I feel officially initiated into the det. Just saying. ;)
We showed a little late to the Varble Christmas dinner... but seriously. The food was so delicious, the company was so fun... and I'm so glad God made me talk to Viv that first Wed night we went to service.
Now, it's late...and I'm about to finally put the kid down. Eeps! Sooo late! *night night*
PS-Ya'll will enjoy this... I started an ebay addiction after that Turbo Fire and instead got hooked on Jillian. I got a threesome (Shredded -the kettlebell workout, Banish Fat, No More Trouble Zones--$16.50), then accidentally purchased No More Trouble Zones ($6.50) shortly thereafter (I was trying to play the field, and it bit me in the butt)...and within the last hour won Yoga Meltdown ($8.50) and Ripped in 30 ($10.50). All I need is Killer Buns & Thighs and we'd be complete! But considering surgery in January... I think this is good enough to keep me busy ;) PLUS all prices include shipping. I'm impressed...minus the duplicate purchase... and hopefully someone else bids on a different Yoga Meltdown.. or else I'm stuck with two. *sigh*. This is it! No more bidding! :D
