I've been listening to the radio about the earthquake in Japan and the radiation leak in the nucleur reactor. Scary is all I can say.
It has been a busy week, crocheting non-stop. I am getting more and more orders. Making these is a slow process but I don't mind, it keeps me busy plus I earn some money to put in my sock.
We have been having a lot of rain and lowland flooding. Nothing serious, just a minor irritation for some areas. This rain is supposed to keep up pretty much all next week. Calling for more winds tomorrow.
Romona down the hall went to the hospital yesterday morning with chest pains. She called me in the afternoon and said they took some tests and her heart was fine. Well, she called me early this morning to tell me they were transferring her to St Peter's Hospital in Olympia because she is having heart problems. She did not sound very good when she called. I told her we are all praying for her. St Pete's is a better hospital and it sounds like she may have to have surgery. So hopefully, her daughter will call me and let me know what is happening so I can pass on the information. I put a note on the board downstairs this morning telling what I knew about her. There is a card for everyone to sign on the table in the lobby. She has diabetes and is morbidly obese, shorter than me and I am only 5 ft 1. I have talked to her many times about walking the halls for exercise but she did it a couple days and then stopped. She doesn't eat right but there is nothing I can do to help her if she doesn't want to help herself. She's around 74.
