Wind/Rain Storm

The storm is just starting so we may lose our power if the trees start falling. Seattle area all ready has outages so I think it may be worse in the North Sound than down here in the South Sound. I have an oil lamp and some battery lights if needed. Lighting in the halls doesn't go out because they have some sort of back up power. This is probably a good time to stay out of the elevator. LOL

I cleaned out my canned goods today and organized the rest, then I took a box down to the social room for whoever needs some. I thought our pantry was open today but it's not so one of the pantry workers said she will take what is left and put it in the pantry tomorrow.

Friday Night

Well, the firemen just left a little while ago. Another false alarm, someone smoking in the stairwell on their way out the door. They just can't wait to light that cigarette and few seconds longer that it takes to get out the door. Then the firemen have to come and it took them a long time to get here because many have been laid off because of budget cuts. In the meantime we are all going deaf listening the the alarm. It is all very un-necessary.

We have children in our building who pull the alarm in the middle of the night - it is a concrete sky-scraper and I swear the alarms sound like what I imagine the bomb alarms sounded like during the cold war! lol Waking up to that (and being kept awake!) is NOT fun. Hopefully those smokers were annoyed enough at the alarm themselves that they won't do it again! Report Inappropriate Comment

Feeling a Lot Better

Not much of a headache today so I am on the mend. Our manager is home sick today so it is going around our complex. Three, at least, have it on my end of the hall. Tomorrow is pot luck but I'm not going.

I finished two purses today and got another order so I'm on a roll now!

Rain is going to start tomorrow afternoon and continue for the next week. I need to go grocery shopping for a few things sometime over the weekend.

My friend down the hall is going to have to put her cat down. She has cancer in her lungs, poor kitty. She is so upset and there is nothing I can do to help her except listen. She has another cat but that doesn't help much in situations like this. Please say a little prayer for her.

Headache is Better

My headache pretty much went away late this afternoon so I was able to go play Bingo this evening. I won a pretty yellow tea pot and camomille tea. I still feel a little cold inside but much better than yesterday. I hope I sleep better tonight because I have been waking up after a couple hours, reading for a couple hours and then finally sleeping until around 7. I have been drinking a lot of hot tea and I think it is helping me feel better.

Headache

I figured out why I have been feeling so cold and tired the past few days. Yesterday afternoon I had a headache and last night I didn't sleep well at all. Then when I got up this morning my head was pounding and it hurt to turn it. I took a couple aspirin and had a good breakfast. My head isn't hurting so much now but I just feel tired and chilly. I will just stay in and rest today and drink my water and hot tea. I took my vitamins!!

Its the cold part that drives me insane. I get the same headaches - I have come to realize that they mean "eat!" but the cold? I am so tired of freezing! Hope you're feeling better. Report Inappropriate Comment
