Doll Dress Potholder's

Well, I am starting to get orders for the doll dress potholder's. I sold three this evening. $6 each. I know that is too cheap but I'd rather put a reasonable price on them and sell them instead of letting them pile up. Today I bought 36 more balls of yarn at the sale at Michael's. This could be the start of a good little side business.

The weather has cooled down but next weekend the hot days will return.

It's actually Wednesday

I get so confused about the days of the week. I was sure it was Thursday and was going to go grocery shopping but I couldn't find the Wednesday paper. Then I realized that it IS Wednesday and the paper hadn't come yet. So I went to the Tupperware party downstairs at 3. They really have a lot of new things--I think it's been 30 years since I have been to one. I have a lot of old stuff. I bought a lettuce spinner/keeper at regular price and five pieces on sale. It was fun.

I have six doll dress pot holders finished now. Order's for one so far for next payday. Everyone loves them.

I feel really bad the last couple days with a headache and just out of sorts. I've been crocheting most of the time, only going downstairs to the mailbox today. So far no one has called me to see if I'm all right. I think I got them broke of the habit of calling me if they don't see me everyday. I don't have a fever but I feel warm. Drinking gallons of water and eating light. I didn't sleep too well last night, finally turned on the tv and it put me right back to sleep.

It's pretty quiet around the building today. I bagged up some things to put in the pantry but they were closed. I never can remember the hours. So I left the bag on a table on the second floor. Someone will take them. That's what we do with stuff we don't need around here, just leave it on a table and it will be gone shortly.

My tomato plants are thriving and am getting more tomatoes everyday so it looks like I'll get a good crop from the five plants on the balcony.

My scale said 138 this morning and I had to weigh myself again to make sure what it said. Now I'm down to what I weighed when I moved here a year and a half ago. Now I'll work on losing 5 more.

The weather is just right today. Hotter tomorrow. Eastern WA is on fire and a lot of people have lost their homes. Lightning started it. Our side of the state is wetter and very green so we just get occassional grass fires along the freeway.

Busy Day

I made two Doll Dress Pot Holder's and sold both right away. Now I am going to gear up and start making them. I get faster as I go. I'm only charging $6 each and I'm sure I can get more for them but the ladies here don't have much money. I'm happy to sell them and get more money to buy more yarn with a little profit.

There was a huge wreck on the freeway at 2 this afternoon and traffic was messed up for over four hours. Traffic was diverted through our streets and no one could get through town. Every street was plugged. I had thought about going to the yarn store then heard about the wreck on the radio. I've been listening to the local station the last few days to keep up on what's happening around town. TV stations seldom report news from here unless it is something spectacular.
