I took the car in for service this morning so now everything is done that needs to be done to the car. I put $20 in the gas tank and that will last me quite a while because I only go shopping two or three times a month. The shopping center is really close to here.

My MagicJack USB port broke today and I did a live chat with a technition. They were going to send me a new one but then they told me my ATM card is expired. It expires the end of this month so now I can't get them to understand that. So I told them to send me my money back that I paid ahead for five years of service. I was just fit to be tied with them. I even went to the bank and was told that it is going to expire the end of this month, therefore, it is not expired. Like beating my head against a wall trying to get them to understand. I told the lady to connect me with a manager and she said she is one. I told her--"You could fool me........................" I give up. The bank will send out the new cards sometime this month and I have to wait. In the meantime, I hope they send me my money back.

Judy is coming over later to use my laptop to look up credentials for Jan's Dr. who is going to do her brain tumor surgery Aug. 13th. We are all trying to help her get through these hard days of the unknown. She is still working everyday, taking care of her clients in spite of all her problems. Her tumor is the size of three postage stamps but they don't know the density until they can see it. Jan has a twin sister in town here but she is in a wheelchair so unable to help her much.

Please pray for her.

  

Welcome Relief

This morning it is in the high 60's but it will still heat up to hig 80's, low 90's but it still doesn't feel so hot after the 100's. I slept good again last night. I actually woke up and I was cold because I left all the windows and sliding glass door open. I'm on the 3rd floor so no one can get in except Spiderman!

This is Seafair Weedend in Seattle. Hydroplance races Sunday on Lk WA--time trials today. The log boom is full of boats and people partying all weekend, there to get a close up view of the races and the Blue Angles flying overhead Sunday.

Glad it's cooling down a little bit for you... We would love to have some of the western and southern sunshine/warmth and would gladly share our extra rain from July. No air conditioning needed for low 70's days and cool nights. We haven't watered our gardens at all yet. Hopefully August's weather will be closer to average for all... Report Inappropriate Comment

No, I'm not going to the races. I think there are about a million people who go and sit on blankets to watch the races. I stay home and watch them on TV. I hate big crowds especially when alcohol is allowed. Report Inappropriate Comment

Heatwave Ended

Our heatwave ended last night at 9 PM. What a relief. I could see the temperature dropping on the thermometer. It made for a good night's sleep--8 hours straight through. That hasn't happened for quite a while.

Heatwave Ends

Well, our heatwave is ending at 9 PM tonight according to the weatherman. It will still get to 80's and low 90's but now that doesn't seem so hot after having all this extreme heat. It is really nice having the air conditioned rooms to go to in the hot hours. Movies have been running everyday--all day today. There is a welcome breeze airing out our rooms and hallways. George on the second floor have a slight problem today--out riding his three wheel bike with his little dog. He forgot to drink water and he didn't eat. Paramedics came and revived him. He's fine now.
