Great goals kid, just don't 'over goal' yourself and get down if you don't get some accomplished. Personally, I find if I set myself 5 "hard" goals (one's I really know I have a chance at) and 15 "soft" goals (one's I will work to accomplish but if it flows over to the next month, no worries) I have a lot less stress. But whatever works for each of us. emoticon emoticon

Eat Pray Love

Sunday, August 29, 2010

So I saw the movie and it struck something in me. She was in her 40s when she realized something was off in her life and went to Italy, India and Bali for a year. Now as much as I would love to spend 4 months in Italy and other places I am not at a point in my life where I can afford that. Nor do I have the courage to either. But I can do other things. I am working on a lst of things I want to do in order to try to find me and find my happiness and center myself.
It may be a long list or it may be short but it's all mine and something I need for me. So today I will be sitting down and working on this and then will post it all for tomorrow and then it is out there for compliments, complaints and accountability.
I want to be happy and I deserve to be happy and I deserve to find myself.

I think that is an awesome idea! In a sense I did the same things after seeing this movie. I would definitly suggest you read the book, it is by far more inspiring than a 2 hr movie. I believe anyone can find happiness where they are, not necessarily having to travel around the world lol. Keep up the great work!

Good for you, kid. emoticon This is something we ALL need to do every now and then. My time came last year. I almost died in October because a medical resident prescribed the wrong dosage of potassium. After that, I sat down, took a good look at my life and decided I didn't want to go back to where I had been a year before. I mended some bridges, finally made breaks in those I knew would never, ever be repaired. I haven't looked back. emoticon

    Thanks for that reminder!
I came across a list like this a few years ago - and thought then that some of the things were hilarious - and should be promoted!

Hit an emotional wall last night....

Friday, August 27, 2010

I having been doign good on the snacking up till last night. Muffin my mom's cat who is my cat Sassy's sister might need to be put to sleep in the very near future. She is having trouble with bowl movements and is going days without pooping and then when she finally does go she is screaming in pain. I've never been close with Muffin but that was a huge kick in the face with Sassy's mortality. I wound up eating an apple turnover with frosting and then while crying into Sassy was eating a huge fresh from bakery swiss roll( its like 3 lil debbie swiss rolls in one).
This morning Muffin finally went after 3 days which is a small relief to say that she will make it through the weekend but at this point it appears that she might not make it through the year...I have never suffered the loss of a pet and am fearful of the day I have to. I guess I have been fortunate in my life to have not endured that yet and I am very thankful for every minute of every day of every year that I get to have my Sassy in my life (she was born April 8, 1994) and am upset by all of this.

Well that's all just needing to get that out....
