I tell you what, I have to agree with you when you stated that you were going to straight out tell this foolish nasty behind to bug off!!! I know I would without a problem. By they time I whip his behind with a good tough lashing, he wouldn't want to even look my way no more. emoticon That old buzzard knows exactly what he's doing by trying to look down your shirt. I can't stand men like that. You should have kick right up in the mid section if you know what I mean, and than said, OH excuse me!!, I bet that would have made him back off. emoticon . I have to say my hats off to you. emoticon

    You've gotten some good advice here... When folks let me know (as the instructor) that someone is making them feel uncomfortable in class... I either address the issue with the person "bothering" them OR.. I explain (if there are extenuating circumstances) what the deal is with the person who is reporting. For instance, we have a fellow in my water aerobics class... he's got about an "age 10" level mentality... he's quite big & really needs the exercise but he's very hairy, sort of "stares" a bit and doesn't really have or understand boundaries. Many women have come to me to say they feel uncomfortable... once I explain his issues to them they are usually okay... on the other hand, I also explain, kindly... to him that he needs to not "stare" at people and/or not to get too close to people because they need more room to exercise. That way his feeling are not hurt & they understand. HOWEVER.. .if someone was being inappropriate I would NOT HESITATE to put their butt OUT OF THE CLASS! Speak up. You might be mistaken & then it can be resolved or you could be correct & the man needs to be asked to leave.

    Get inside the group one or two women deep so that they would have to deal with him first. he knows he is a dirty old bird- that old geezer is being a jackass on purpose he's there for the ladies & you have to use the power of numbers with you.
My only problem is if you Do not think he is aware- he will lie and play stupid- he is bored and looking to get some action/attention- any kind will do. Treat him the way you would telemarketer- hang up on him before he gets a word in inch-wise. (telemarketers - I'm sorry that's just the way it is) He doesn't get the respect of an elder because he's not acting an elder. So don't you feel guilty for putting in his place. Either way you are responsible to make a verbal statement to your instructor that you are not appreciating that man's attention- she can't act until you say something. The more silent you are the more serious it is.... don't be silent. Hopefully the instructor will have someone embarrass the old guy into good behavior or he's out of the Y and instead goes to McDonald's to hassel women there.

My soap box is now open for the next lecturer... emoticon

    If you are uncomfortable.. let your instructor know.. That way you don't have to deal with it .. That is there job or they can tell the persons job it is..

I love the water and emoticon emoticon for finding something you like and moving today..
