WOO HOO!!!

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I took the extra boxes of girl scout cookies and donated them to each of my kids classroom. It sure feels good to make positive choices and decision for MY life. My overALL goal is to be the best ME that I can be. And if I could say so myself,"Not bad. Not bad at all SELF." emoticon

I hope and pray you ALL are reaching some, if not all, of your goals. It's day by day, moment by moment, step by step, pound by pound, or inch by inch. Whatever the case may be, Let US emoticon

Girl Scout

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

The beginning of the school year my 6 year old come home with a girl scout registration form. She says,'Mommy please please may I be a girl scout?" so I said yes. Cookie time is here and WE signed up. She sold several boxes to teachers at her school and members of our church. I decided to get extra boxes so she could get the second prize plus she had done a great job of selling so many on her own. Needless to say, that was a bad idea. Out of the 15 extra boxes I purchased I've sold 6. That's not including the 4 boxes I bought for the house. The bright idea I came up with was, leave the cookies in the car. Every night since I picked up the cookies, I've skipped out to the car and got a box. Then I wake up every morning feeling like crap. i was doing so well and then made the mistake of eating ANY of the cookies. It's so easy to get in but hard to get out, for ME. Forward and Onward I go!

I needed to say this out loud to hold myself accountable for the choices I make that affects me. I CAN do so much better than that. Thank you ALL for listening. LETS emoticon emoticon emoticon

I can almost hear those cookies talking to me. Glad that my granddaughters are NOT selling them this year. Stay strong my friend!

I know exactly what you are talking about! They just suck you in, don't they-- the cookies and the sweet little girls selling them. :)
You can resist them!! I'm rooting for you!!
BTW- We've already eaten our five boxes that we bought from friends. Thankfully, my husband and children ate the majority, and I only had a few.

Quotation

Thursday, February 07, 2013

You cannot hope to build a better world without improving
the individuals. To that end each of us must work for
his or her own improvement, and at the same time
share a general responsibility for all humanity, our particular
duty being to aid those to whom we think we can be most useful. ~Marie Curie

Well my eating is still really good. I'm eating more meatless meals. I'm not exercising but that too will come. I'm focusing more on healthy eating. I'm starting to look and feel better. So I WILL emoticon

Have a beautiful day EveryONE! emoticon OR emoticon emoticon

Gratitude

Saturday, February 02, 2013

Yesterday I was at the car dealership from 7:45am-2:50pm. Yep, I beat the sales associates there. After I dropped Shakeira off at school, I putt-putted on to the dealership. By the grace of God I was approved for a loan. The loan amount wasn't what I was hoping for, but with my credit, it was truly a blessing. I got a 2010 Red Chevy Aveo 4dr. I picked the kids up from school at 3pm, went to pay life insurance, then back home. As soon as I got comfortable my husband called for me to pick him up. Even though we're separated, he's been giving me money every Friday to help out. I am grateful to him because he could be bitter and say, " To hell with her and MY kids." but he doesn't. He tells me he's proud for me. I drop him off, then back home. I was so tired, I fell asleep before the kids. Nine months ago I was back in my addiction after having experienced years of sobriety. I am grateful to God however for ALL the up and especially the downs. He has restored what was lost and have added more. So today my gratitude shows up in my attitude. Thank you ALL for your continued support AND encouragement.

By the way, I started over on the 12th and I'm down 3 lbs. That's around 1 lbs a week. emoticon emoticon SELF! emoticon

SparkPeople~ emoticon so much for making me a motivational member. Thanks to ALL of YOU(community & friends) as well for your votes. It means A LOT. Great day to ALL! emoticon
