Long-term goals.... Dare I say Dreams?

I have really begun to think about what I want in life. I have read blogs about what happens after you lose the weight. Losing the weight doesn’t change your life, it changes your body. So while I am working to lose the weight to increase myself worth, I think it is also important to work toward my other goals. So I have developed a list of my goals:

Physical Goals:
-I want my shirts to sit flat and not have a roll from my stomach. I never remember this being the case and it is possibly my number one goal!
- I want my arms to be toned enough that I feel comfortable wearing a sleeveless shirt.
-I want to feel comfortable with my own body.
-I want to like what I see.

Emotional Goals:
-I want to be comfortable in a group.
-I want to love me.
-I want to make decisions based on my wants not someone else’s.
-I want to have the courage to say no.
-I want to value myself above others.

Personal Goals:
-I want to fall in love.
-I want to get married.
-I want to have children.
-I want to travel the world.
-I want to own my own home.
-I want to feel content.

Professional Goals:
-I want a career that allows me to have nights and weekends off.
- I want a career that allows me to afford the lifestyle I currently live.
-I want to LOVE going to work.
-I want to be challenged in my career.
- I want to learn how to use a comma…. I mean seriously where do you put them? Two bachelor’s degrees and still am missing this basic concept.

I plan to keep updating this list. It is crazy when you sit and realize that the weight is really just one minor thing in your life but I feel as though it controls everything.

    Girl, you can do this! & I had the hardest times with commas too & my professor handed us a sheet on how to use them & yes I admit I studied it lol. Good luck on your weight loss:)

    Absolutely correct, weight loss is just a PART of your life. Your goals are amazing and I do hope you continue on with them! Push for them....

Oh and I have issues with comma's too, I put them in where ever I seem to...'pause'. hahaha I don't know if I'm right or not, but I try. hahaha

    Those are AWESOME goals! I sometimes feel like it's easy to get caught up in just "I want to lose x pounds" and assume that the rest will fall into place after that but that is not the case. By setting such well rounded goals I am sure you will have much success!!

    Commas! My first argument with my business partner, 18 years ago, was over a comma. (To this day I believe I was right, but I don't remember what we went with.) They are funny things, no? :)

    I've been thinking about my long-term goals a lot lately, too. I think it's super important to do so! I love how you categorized them, too :-) ...perhaps I should do a long-term dream blog!

    hahaha....this is my fave site for comma usage:
I remember my hubby becoming obsessed with the semicolon while he was studying. I like the ellipsis's the lazy punctuation!

Anyway, I really like this idea of long-term goals :)

What's your Brand ?

One of my professors asked me that question and at first I did not understand it. How can I have a brand? Well, let me explain it to you.

According to Business a brand is a unique design, sign, symbol, words, or combination of these, employed in creating an image that identifies a product and differentiates it from its competitors. Over time, this image becomes associated with a level of credibility, quality, and satisfaction in the consumer’s mind.

So, our personal brand is how we carry ourselves. How someone views your personality, look, commitment, work ethic, family life, and everything else that makes you, you.

So my question to you, is what is your brand?

I’m not sure what brand I currently carry, but I do know what I want mine to be. I will post a blog later with my “Dream Brand”. I challenge you to develop yours as well. How do we know what we are working for, if we do not know what we want to be?

1) Become invested in the BLC and get to know my teammates
2) Exercise at least 5 times per week
3) Stay within my calorie range daily
4) Recommit to myself and my weight loss
5) Check in daily with my BLC groups

    Your goals are good. You set yourself up for success because they're all interconnected so achieving any one of them can lead to achieving one of the others. Keep it up, you can do this.

Day 1 with Coach Krystie!!

So today I started working with Coach Krystie and I survived. I did a lot more exercise than I am used to but I feel great. I guess it really is true that exercise makes you feel better. I'm just happy to have started this. My toughest part about today was trying to consume enough water! Who knew drinking water could be hard. Ha.

Today I also decided on my own to quit drinking soda. I have started to depend on it too much as my go to when I want something. I haven't had any headaches yet so fingers crossed that I will not get them.

I'm so excited to enter this new part of my journey!!

    Congrats on working out and super congrats on giving up soda. I gave it up six weeks ago and it's been great. My skin is healthier and it's been easier to stick to healthy eating. I do drink a lot of iced tea.

    Wooo hooray for an awesome day! Also congrats on deciding to cut out the soda!! That's definitely a huge step, and one I think you won't regret. It really is true--after awhile of not having it, it begins to taste too sickeningly sweet! The day it tastes too sweet will seriously be the best day ever (at least it was for me)!

    Great job! Water was tough for me in the beginning too but it helps if you keep it close all day. Good luck with giving up on the soda. The longer you go without having it the cravings will fade for the most part. emoticon

ugh!!! Bad day

I have had a horrible day eating today. Today is the first day since I started this diet that I have been completely off track. I did not track anything today. I ate pretty much what I wanted and I feel completely ill now. I guess I really can not handle eating like I used to. Don't get me wrong I still didn't eat like I would have before this diet but I ate extremely tooooo much candy. ahhhh

Tomorrows another day and I will do better. I have to. This means too much to me to quit.

Sorry about the negative blog I just have to have accountability.

    Today is done and over. Kick it under the rug and start fresh again tomorrow. This is why we are doing a lifestyle change and not a marathon. This has not been my best week as well. But Sunday going at it again. Tomorrow is full for over 12 hrs soooo. lol
