So today I decided to start the Ripped in 30 dvd. The first day, week one workout was super tough. I thought I wasn't gonna make it at some points but I sucked in up and managed to finish it. I know that as I do it more and more, it will get easier. But, this first day was tough!

Day 5: Feeling pretty down on myself...

So I didn't expect this, but a few days ago, I got sick. Because I got sick, I couldn't work out, my body was constantly sore, long story short, stuff just didn't get done. Now that I am almost better, I am beating myself up for it. But, there really wasn't much I could do... I guess I am just always too hard on myself in all situations, how about everyone else?

Day 4: My buddy and girl scout cookies...

So I thought that I could just bypass the whole girl scout cookie season. But recently I have been hearing a lot of chatter about them and now I am craving them more than ever! I haven't had any and I am gonna try my hardest to stay away from them because they are not particularly healthy for you, but my best friend is coming back into town tonight and I tend to eat tons of junk food when I am with her... I have been doing so well so far and I don't wanna set myself back.. HELP! :/

    OMG don't do it! :o) I know it is easier to say than do this! But what if you bargain with yourself. You don't have to overindulge and eat tons of junk food...explain to you friend how well you are doing, and allow yourself one junkfood treat. :o) Maybe that will help from overeating. I am a stickler on calorie counting and if I want to have that "junk" day, I try to account for it in my calories...maybe that will help you too! Good luck and have fun!

Day 3: Veggies, veggies, veggies

So I am sooo proud of myself on this very day. I have gone my whole life not eating healthy. Lots of meat, lots of snacks and sweets, and not a lot of fruits and veggies. I am happy to say that today I have cut out almost all sweets, my snacks are healthy, mostly fruits actually, and this is my 3rd day as a vegetarian. I am really trying to keep my meat intake to 2 meals a week. I was reading some articles on here that said that was great for a person's diet. The great thing is, is that I am having no troubles with it either! I love veggies and fruits but just never ate them. Yesterday I have 6 servings of fruits and veggies, and I can only hope that I can keep that high number up for good!

  


Day 2: Pilates!!

So I have found that it is not gonna be so easy for me to blog every single day, but I am gonna try! So a few days ago I was looking to find a new little workout to try so I got on my instant stream on netflix and found a few CRUNCH dvds on there. A few were pilates and I have a Leslie Sansone DVD that incorporates pilates into the walk so I decided to give it a try. It was great! Pilates is very fun, but quite challenging. I really love yoga so this was a great new workout to try that I will be adding into my weekly workout schedule now.

    I found this pilates video on netflix- "Pick your level: Weight loss Pilates" and I liked it. There are three 10-minute segments so if you don't have a lot of time you can just choose to do one!

    Please do let us know how it goes! I have been trying to add pilates to my workout schedule but I find I can hardly get through 15 minutes.
