So, I have been doing the mini challenge with my friend and while we are both well into food tracking and some of our other goals it seems the aerobic part is slipping. I discussed looking on YouTube for some Zumba workouts, but maybe I just need to try to look for FUN workouts?
One of the best workouts (and hardest, especially on the knees since it's high impact) that I have liked was the World Famous Pontani Sister's Go-go-robics, but that's a bit advanced for me right now. Maybe I should just modify some of the jumping out of the DVD, although I wouldn't know how to could the burn without the high impact... hmmm...
Well, I guess it's time to search for FUN workouts and maybe I will find some good things to post!

I am starting up a mini challenge with a friend who also spark's and we decided we would try and do 3 weeks so we could catch on to the 21 days to set a good habit. I am still trying to work my way up to actual workouts and not just walking and it's becoming very hard for me.
I wake up to tiredness, especially with my late nights at work and the time it takes me to wind down once I get home. Maybe I need to find more motivation for morning work outs again, but I think it took a while to get to that.
Maybe I need to remember baby steps.

I was supposed to make a blog entry yesterday, but today is as good a time as any to to get started on good habits.
I just read an article, www.sparkpeople.com/resource/nutriti
on_articles.asp?id=476 , on the biggest metabolism mistakes. It was very interesting, especially the part about having to work on several things, such as sleep, nutrition, and exercise, all at once. I have been working on these things separately over the years, but now I really am putting my effort into working on everything. And I mean, more than just the physical health, I really have to get back in touch with friends, family, and community, which will help with a lot of mental or emotional health issues.
So, today I get ready for work after having slept, worked out, cooked lunch, and I am happy to go. Here's looking forward to improving all the time.

I have gotten to probably the largest point in my life... no wait, maybe second largest, but I was younger before and lost weight easier (better knees and hip joints, haha). This time, I am going to baby step my way to weight loss - at least for the first few months.
Why? Well, to be honest, I have a tendency to go over top from the beginning and then get bored/overworked and quit. I figure, if I try and start gradually, 10 - 15 minute walks and work outs and tracking my food before I start to totally modify my diet, that this time I may stay engaged and get some progress!
So, with baby steps in mind I set out on this goal to losing the first 10 pounds, but I am working towards 150... just in baby steps of 10!
