My daily affirmation

1) I will weigh 124 a healthy range for me or a little below the healthy range.
2) will feed my body healthy foods that my body needs.
3) will love and accept myself as I am as God loves me.
4) will forgive myself for my past failures as there is no such thing as failures only to make you stronger and wiser.
5) to lose a lb or two a week seems reasonable.
6) will always try to be postive and to think postive and stop putting my self down.
7) I promise I will no longer use food for comfort and to turn to God for comfort.
8) will stop eating when I am full and not over stuff.

My personal healthy living contract

I will follow what ever plan that I am on 90% of the time, try my best not to cheat and if I cheat I will follow this rule, to have just 3 bites of what ever it is that I am cheating with and no more than that and move on. If I cheat, I will not stress out over it and not to binge, forgive myself, love myself and move on.
I am trying to be commit to my plan as much as I can from May 21-June10 before my curves membership ends. I will be going back and fourth between 2 plans, six weeks and the shakes.
I will commit to my plan 6 days this week of May 21-27
I will commit to my plan 5 days this week of May 28-June3
I will commit to my plan 7 days this week of June 4-10
Don't know what plan I will be following at this point.
I will reevalute my contract on weekly base.
I will commit to doing exercise 6 days a week and doing something different every day.
I will commit to drinking all my water while I am home.

I can't promise that I won't cheat every day and am going to try my best not to cheat and will be accountable to my self as well as my team mates. I don't know if I am strong enough to commit to it 100% but will give my best is all that I can do. One day at a time and one step at a time.

I will say my daily affirmation.

    Sharon you've always been able to make it work for you and I know that this will be no exception. I'm looking forward to starting on Monday and have signed and posted my contract. It's pretty strict but I need that for the first week and 1/2. Then I will re-committ a contract every two weeks. Let's go!

My one year anniversary to my weight loss journey

Today is one year since I start the journey to my weight loss and it hasn't been easy as I have my up and downs. A year ago I weigh 245 and on New years eve I weigh 141 and have lost 104 lbs .and I have lost 57 inches and when I came back from my girlfriend's house I kind of went off my plan for about a week and gain some weight back and today am 5 pounds away from my current weight ticker.


I start on six weeks Jan. 10, 2011 I lost 34 lbs in seven weeks
I went on food lover have lost 13 lbs.
Six weeks have lost 11 lbs
Sacred heart plan lost 4 lbs
Six weeks lost 8 lbs
South Beach lost 10 lbs
Cinch plan lost 8 lbs
Cinch plan lost 6 lbs.

I have tried couple of soup plan, shakes and they didn't work out too well as I hope so I won't even list it here.

Am now back on six weeks and hoping to reach my goal for the final and last time.

I am losing weight for myself and there is two other people that I am doing this for that is no longer part of my life any more. That is my sister who died 5 years ago today and that is why I choose Jan. 10 to start my weight loss journey. If my sister was still alive we will both be trying to lose weight with our own plan. My sister was alot heavier than me and because she is not here any more so I am losing weight for both of us. The other person that I am losing weight for is my favorite aunt who pass away in Sept. two years ago. All these years my aunt was always my inspiration and still is my inspiration from heaven. She had couple brushes with death couple of times and because of that she start taking care of her self, start eating healthy, always stayed out of the sun, work out 2 times a day morning and night, she always had a positive attitude and had a very strong relationship with God and always pray for every one and any one that needs prayers. Before she died she made me promise her that I will some day get down to my goal and to try to stay there. I made that promise to my aunt that I will get to my goal. My aunt was small and a tiny person but she had a heart of gold and she was 96 years old when she died. These are the 2 people that I love very much and miss them so much and wish that we could be together right now. I know that we will meet and be together again and know that they are up there watching over me.

People are always asking how do I do it, what is my motivation and my inspiration. Now you know.

I also change my plan from time to time as I get bored and some plans are just too restrictive and am the type of person who is always trying some thing new. When I do my work outs I don't do the same thing every day. Here is pretty much how I work out.

Mondays I do hip hop or any dance
Tues I walk to Leslie Sansone
Wed. I use dumbbells, or bands or some weights.
Thurs is regular walk
Fri. is zumba
Sat. work out on wii, either to walk it out or just dance or dance work out, dancing with the stars.
Sunday is my day off.

Once I get to goal, I will continue to follow six weeks, food lover, south beach and cinch as I know that they work so any time I will gain weight and will follow any of these it all depends on my moods and how much I gain to help me get back to my goal weight.

I also lost the weight from support and encouragement from people on my spark team, Thank for walking along side me during my journey. When I was struggling and having a hard time you were there with your kind words and help me through what ever I was going through at the time.
You are all amazing and a great group of people and we don't judge and we support and help one another. I am proud to be part of this team. Thank you all for your friendship and I love you all. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Sharon, you have been the superglue of our Michael Thurmond team. I think you are a beautiful person with a heart as big as Texas emoticon I am glad to call you my friend.
