NOT giving up just changing

Thursday, April 12, 2012

Ok I know today would have only been my 3rd workout day with the 30 day shred but I cant force myself to do it. I do not feel that it is challenging me. I don't feel like i have completed anything when I am finish with it. I don't like doing thing that I don't feel challenged at! So today I am on a hunt to find something that will challenge me, that I can continue to do for the rest of my 30 days! I am open to any suggestions! I am looking through all of my internet resources to find things I feel will be challenging!! Wish me luck. I know for sure I am going for a bike ride tonight after work its supposed to be 60 so it wont be too bad. If I stick with the route that I planned I will bike 4.4 miles!!! :D

Its ok! I would reccomend the Bob Harber body revolution dvds. They are very similiar to P90X and such but not nearly as expensive. I got mine at www.mytrainerbob.com and they were only $5 each! I think they are the most challenging workouts :) Especially "Bobs Workout". I hope you find what you are looking for!

I agree with CC3833 - Beachbody.com has a whole slew of videos that will challenge you (P90X, Turbo Jam, etc.). Some are priced a little higher than others, but in the grand scheme of things, it's an investment. It isn't like you're spending money on something ethereal or temporary; this is your LIFE we're talking about here.

Like with any workout, though, you get what you put into it; you've really got to push yourself if you feel like it's too easy. Maybe you just need to bump up your intensity in your current workout. Add weights; move faster/bigger; add reps; etc.

Did you ever think of getting the P90X or Insanity videos? I heard they are very hard and challenging but they really do give results I know a few people who have done it but it is really challenging. If you like to be pushed to the max why don't you try this???

Biking is great physical fitness if you do a challenging route. I trained for an MS bike for four months once. I used to bike 25 miles per weekday and 50 to 100 miles on the weekends. I ended up riding every mile on the MS bike for a total of 182 miles. I have biked in snow, wind and rain! It can be quite a challenge. The hills always kicked my butt though. I do recommend having the proper gear if you want to spend lots of time on the bike. It does make a big difference!! I love biking and intend to resume it this year. I have a beautiful bike that I hardly ever use because I gained so much weight. Now with my weightloss, I can easily ride again and can even lap the kids!!

unplanned rest day- moving on to day 3

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

So yesterday as I was leaving work I got a really bad migraine. Being outside even with my sunglasses on made it 10x worse. So yesterday even though it wasn't supposed to be a rest day was made into a rest day! But that DIDN'T stop me!!! I got up this morning and did another session of the 30 day shred. I am so proud of myself because in previous times I would have just given up. But im staying strong! Even though i dont feel that challenged! I am thinking I may need to add another video at the end of my day to help maybe her banish fat one which has been known to kick my buttt!

Wow, those migraines can be tough. I sure remember those days!! You should be REALLY proud of yourself for following through though. It's often tough to continue after such a bad evening. Stay strong!!

30 day Shred- Day 1

Monday, April 09, 2012

So I complete day 1 of 30 day shred. And I have to say I didnt really feel very challenged! I guess I will have to see if I start to feel sore later. I started it on youtube because I didnt want to buy it then not like it and never use it again. I think I am still gonna wait to buy it to see if it becomes more challenging as the days go on into me doing the program. But as of now I survived day 1 without really feeling like i did much :( the only thing that i felt was the lateral raises with side lung. Thats the only thing that really made me feel anything, well maybe the pushups to! I am really hoping this week is the week that i break this stupid plateau.

I felt that way on day 1 too. I didn't start to feel my legs until day 3. Now every time I do it, I am sweating up a storm. Good job!

Good for you...I hope that it challenges you and you enjoy it. It does say a lot for your fitness level if you didn't feel challenged.

If you survived day one, you did a lot. The main thing is starting and then sticking with it one day at a time. Good work!

Happy Easter and you will get through this timeframe with him away. It will definitely be difficult, but its not as long as it feels. Thank God you get to see him every weekend.
