Read a lot...

Sunday, March 03, 2013

I never really read a lot but now I find it rewarding to actually answer some questions correctly. What is your % of correct answers these days? I find the answers are the total opposite of what is obvious. If nothing else, I'm learning. emoticon

Cabin Fever

Saturday, March 02, 2013

Is anyone experiencing cabin fever? I live in Ohio and I have had a cold for four days. I went out with my Hubs today just to leave the house. I wore layers because in case I became warm, I could take off a medium weight jacket( indoors, of course). We ride Harleys so we are suffering from severe "I gots ta ride fever". C'mon spring, PLEASE ! emoticon

No entry yesterday...

Friday, March 01, 2013

Hi everyone, I posted no entry yesterday because I'm assuming I had a flu bug. I put my ice cold hands on the back of my neck to try to cool it off. I was that hot. You feel you are getting nothing done when you're sick and I sure didn't. No exercise, 5-6 small meals or earning your points. The only thing I did accomplish was drinking my water. Then spent the majority of my day letting it go. I'm better today but still with a small appetite. Remember the days you got sick and lost five pounds? We'll see the scale soon and find out. I hope you all had a great day? emoticon

I didn't eat alone for breakfast

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

I care for my Step Father at home now and this morning he walked into our kitchen to join me for breakfast. He's quite a large man so this is saying a lot for him. He really struggles with his weight but is making those baby steps to keep active in his own way. He's 80 years old and is fully aware he needs to lose a considerable amount of weight. I hope he continues to improve by joining me more often. emoticon

Thank-you all for your lovely comments. I barely knew him when we brought him into our home from Indiana. I'm not sure how to deal with such a large amount of weight loss but our VA is only a phone call away. emoticon

Inspired

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

I was inspired by an elderly gentleman I saw at the VA Hospital today. He was telling the lady next to him that at 77 he still walks his dog every morning and every night because "the dog needs her exercise". What a lucky dog to still have an exercise buddy! Do you have one? I know I asked this before but, perhaps this time....do they two legs or four? Have a great day everyone. emoticon

As you can tell by "pic" I love animals. Skipper loves to lay on my legs and go up and down with pedaling!

Maybe she knows that at 11 years and over weight that weight is not that healthy?
