I keep trying to meet the goals that I have set for myself and for now that seems to be helping me see success with my food and exercise goals. There are days with me being diabetic, however, when I am extremely sleepy.....these are my challenge days!

In our day to day world we forget to take care of us as we care for the many people in our lives. You really have to do things for yourself before you end up being sick and unable to do for others.

I have a favorite book that I read that helps me to purge items and begin to get organized.
This book always motivates me but you do have to begin with a little time to keep the momentum going once you begin to catch the "get rid of stuff bug."

Time seems to be my problem during the school year when I am at work everyday.



Exercising For Life

As hard as it is to attempt to exercise I still try to move and do something
because I have finally gotten to that place that scares me as I just move in
day to day ways and it has become difficult to even lift my legs to do something as simple as pull my weight up onto steps. It hurts the muscles in the part of my leg above my knees
but I keep trying to do it anyway because I am scared that if I stop I
will no longer be able to function in just day to day walking. I don't want to be in a wheelchair emoticon

    The body area you mention-the quadriceps, can really give everyone trouble. In this past year I have been able to improve my muscle tone in this area by 50%. My bus accident is not going to change this. In fact, I credit my walking every day with being responsible for my not having more severe injuries in the accident.
I am so proud of you for 'taking this first step of many' to improve your health and that of those you love.
