Shred Day 5

Yes I did

When I started I felt like I was encased in cement but eventually got into it

Okay, those of you that have tried it even once know that Jillian says something about folks on day 5 or 6 are happy with their increased endurance......not for me but at least I am not as sore

Why do I keep doing these blogs for each day??? To keep me accountable...if I don't do the blog I will kind of fizzle out because no one is watching - so let me know you are watching and thanks to everyone for their encouragement

Food Temptations

So last night hubby got off early and we had to do a quick trip across town before KMart closed. Turns out he hadn't eaten and was EXTREMELY crabby. Crabby men are NO good shopping for household stuff so I told him to get something to eat.

He decided on Popeyes chicken because it was right across the street. Now I love fried chicken but I didn't get anything. He decided he would eat in the car. I thought I would drive that way my hands would be busy and I wouldn't be tempted to sneak a nibble. Boy did he have news for me....he got finger foods (onion rings, biscuit, chicken strips) so he could drive. And he sat that box right on the console between us within easy reach of both of us....gggrrrrr

Boy was I irritated but I didn't touch any at all. And at 2 am after he ran to the bathroom for like the 6th time I was extremely glad that I didn't touch it but boy that was tempting.

    Man, that would be so hard to resist. That is why I like the idea of GF diet. I am not as strong as you Theresa but knowing the pain I will be in if I eat that stuff is making me stronger. Congrats on avoiding temptation and also for not bashing hubby in the head. LOL emoticon

Shred Day 4

Well I got up late after a night of severe winds and cold, with the hubby up and down to the bathroom all night, and woke up with the same sinus headache emoticon

So the schedule is more off than it started off last night

Then the weather is worse, strange ice storm so we can't go out, so gym is not first thing

So I study and they do other tasks in the house

Then I do my shred at a good stopping point in my book

Weather looks better so we head out to the gym only to find out they are closed because they have no electricity

So home to do that ski machine thingee --- I would rather run or do the stairs

but my shred is done emoticon

Shred Day 3

Some things got easier...some got harder but I pushed through

I need a weight just a little heavier but not as heavy as my big weights

This is challenging

I really thought with all that I can and have done that this wouldn't be hard

Pfff!

She starts with Jumping Jacks...my nemesis because of my bad knee and ankle

Jillian says no modification HUH! So far I have tried each time to do the regular jumping jacks and feel my body reject, so yes I do modify but not by much...my daughter in the kitchen couldn't see my feet and thought I was doing a regular JJ. Maybe I will get there eventually.

Get a good (iron clad) sports bra...with the jumping jacks and jump rope you definitely need it.

Day 2 of the Sinus Headache and I am still glad I did the shred.

    I just started the Shred last week. And boy, you're DEFINITELY not lying about needing a decent sports bra. I actually just had on a regular bra (I was just trying to be all comfy at home - LOL) and literally had to pause the DVD and change to a sports bra.

    I have to modify too. I can do the JJ's but I can't do the push-ups. I have to modify them and they ab stuff. Good job with the 3 days though. I read other peoples blogs on it and they said that after 3 days they couldn't keep doing it they were to sore. Good bra is definitely advised.

    Have you found the Enell bra? Or Champion "Fiona" bra? I have to be careful to strap in before running or any other high motion activity. You're exactly right - get a good sports bra!!

    the bra was the first thing i realized i needed when i started to shred.
i now look forward to the jumping jacks or jump ropes because they are the easy moves....I just did day 3 level 3 today

How to keep going

Today, the first day after my first shred

dang, I am sore

how will I keep going?

I will remember that the soreness is fitness taking over

Like surgery....it hurts for a while but what comes out on the other side is a better me
