Suffered a Setback? Here's How to Get Back on the Wagon
It happens — you miss a few workouts and you feel like you've fallen off the weight-loss wagon. It's tempting to mentally slap yourself around, right? (Or head for the fridge.) Before you start, I want to remind you of something: Being hard on yourself is the Old You.
The New You knows how to deal with setbacks and get back on the wagon. And after all, there are no mistakes, just learning experiences. Weight loss is a process — it takes time. You will encounter small failures — everyone does — but every pound you gain can be lost.

And if you miss a workout, it's not the end of the world! Get to the gym the next day and continue to focus on your short-term goals. Just because you made bad choices today doesn't mean you can't start over tomorrow. New day? New beginning. And don't you forget it!

or are they?

So today I was thinking...

I was doing so good before my test....

I did reasonably well while studying....

So what is wrong now?

I don't really want to get up in the morning...

even when I do it's like a piece of me is still in it (and no the sleeping hubby doesn't count).

Getting moving seems to be the hardest thing to do...

If I accomplish one thing each day it's a miracle

Eating right?

yeah right

I don't want salad

That used to be my ol' standby

I even did salad wraps

So I am thinking what happened

when

how

who

and there was the catalyst

I LET OTHER PEOPLE BRING ME DOWN

There's the liar - just infuriates me

There's the boastful one that thinks no one else does anything in comparison

There's the "You could do better to do..." person and yet I don't find any of those suggestions useful

Ah the thief! Thinks it's ok, it's only a little and I'll pay it back later...later has passed

Oh the one who tells everyone what to do but isnt' helpful at all

Then there's me

I let each of these people tear me down individually at one time or another

But in my tiredness from my marathon studying they all ganged up on me

It wasn't their fault

It was mine

I let them

But No More

They have no power over me unless I let them and I refuse.

You save a fairy

He grants you one wish - only one

He gives you a lifetime to decide - you can call on him anytime to receive it

Do you wish for beauty? Because beauty is fleeting, it will not last even when granted by a fairy, and you will be seen as a beauty - no brains, no guts, no glory.

Do you wish for brains? This is also fleeting. How do you use it in that granted moment that will change the world? It will take a lifetime to figure out how you should've used it and then it's too late.

Do you wish for happiness? This will fly away if you don't know how to regenerate it.

Do you wish for money? Once you have spent it - it's gone. How did it help?

Do you wish to be skinny? This will also leave...since you didn't take the knowledge of how to eat and exercise to maintain it.

My one wish is for appreciation...for what I have, who I know, who I am, what I have learned....everything.

{This just came out of my fingers this morning - sometimes God sends us strange messages indeed}

After I posted this blog, I watched Joel Osteen's show, he was presenting (a taped version) of the Yankee Stadium Night of Hope. The Message? #424 something about Diving into your divine life (I think I have the title wrong but know the number is right). You can hear a copy via mp3 by going to his website.
