I'm turning the electric blanket off!!!

I have never struggled so much as of lately on getting out of bed to get my workouts in. My alarm will go off and I will sit and argue with myself about how I can fit it in later in the day. Luckily I have stuck to my word and completed my workouts but it has sure made life more hectic!! I decided to sleep in 30 minutes extra today and thought I could still get my workout in and I did but I was running around the house like a chicken with my head cut off!! Not for me I like to take it slow in the mornings. So I have made the decision I'm turning my electric blanket on at night it is keeping me hostage in my bed in the mornings.

I have still been completing my workouts but they are rushed and not top notch like they should be. I have borrowed some of the videos from Turbo Fire from a friend and I love them!! My favorite is the 30 min HIIT video it gets me like no other workout I've ever done. I've had to do most of my runs on the treadmill just because it's so cold outside. My dedicated running group is still meeting but I just can't do it when the temperature is at zero!

    I hope it works! I'm such a fair weather exerciser too! I know I have to exercise in this cold, so that I will be thankful to be able to wear shorts and a bikini when summer comes around! Good luck!

BFL Day 5, 6, 7

Well it was a whirlwind weekend but I'm so glad I'm on a plan because it really keeps me in check. Workouts were not what I really wanted this weekend but not to bad. Sunday I ran my first 10K ever and you can see from my previous post how that went emoticon. We went out of town on Saturday all day with my husbands team to Kansas City so eating out was off plan a little but no too bad. I just love this program and it has helped me so much. Today is an upper body day and I am doing this one tonight and I will blog later my plan.

Finished my first 10K today and I got 3rd in my age division. I was happy with that. I didn't finish as fast as I wanted to but overall I think I did good. My official time was 56.16.

BLF Day 4 Cardio Day

I wasn't able to get my workout done this morning so I'm going to get it in after work today. I decided I'm going to do another run this evening to get more prepared for my 10K on Sunday. I'm just going to fun 3 miles though at a tempo pace.

BFL Day 3 Lower Body

Here is my lower body day-

Quads
Leg Press 90,100,110,120,100
Walking lunges 30

Hamstrings
Seated leg curls 15,30,35,40,30
Hyperextensions 8 lb ball

Glutes
Side lunges 8,10,12,15,10
Cable machine 3

Calves
40 reps 5 pound weight

I also finished in enough time to do 10 mins on the bike.

I had a great weigh in this morning and am down 1 1/2 pounds just from where I started at the beginning of the week. I know most is probably water weight but I still excited to get back to what I once was. FINALLY!!!

I will post my nutrition at the end of the day. It will be higher today. I've been sticking at right around 1200 and am noticing some headaches and dizziness. So I've better up my calories a bit. I've got to find a way to do that though and not up my carbs to much.

check out people's food logs for ideas cause I would say I eat pretty clean and I don't usually have trouble gettin that 1500 in. Well maybe let me know if I am not clean enough. LOL

    Yes I don't like to stay at 1200 that is just how it fell the last 2 days. I'm going to shoot for around 1500 today. That is sometimes hard to do and still keep it healthy!!!

    I bounce everything off a girl who has gone through and did figure competition and she said don't go lower than 1450 cals and no higher than 1600. I try to stick between 1450-1500. Yeah for the heavy lifting 1200 is way too low. YOur body probably burns about 1400 cals without gettin out of bed. Great workout.
