...how I feel about making small goals. I always make big goals for myself even if it seems very unattainable at the time I make it. When I do this, I always achieve them. I have achieved so much career wise, fitness and diet wise and attitude wise since I decided to change my life back on July 12, 2008.
The quote that I read today in Burn the Fat Feed The Muscle expresses how I feel about setting small goals...
"Thinking about a big goal you've never achieved before is always oging ot make you feel a little uncomfortable and afraid. This discomfort makes most people pull back into their comfort zones. Don't let the fear of failure or THE FEELING OF DISCOMFORT prevent you from going after what you really want. Always step forward into growth; never pull back into safety. Refuse to sell yourself short. Raise your standards." --Tom Venuto
I really like that "feeling of discomfort" part a lot. Ever sit into a static squat and punch until you can't punch anymore???? A lot of people are afraid of "discomfort" like that. Sad.
And then I ran into this quote...
"Make no small plans; they have no magic to stir your blood to action. Make big plans, aim high in work and hope." --Daniel Burnham
It's really good to know that I was on the correct path from the beginning. Very good bK!
