WOW ~ what a beautiful getaway! I love the all-inclusive vacation....we did that a long time ago and it was SO nice to not have to carry around money. The resort you linked is so pretty ~ the ocean looks gorgeous. This vacation you're planning is an excellent goal to keep you focused......and it will be a wonderful reward for all the hard work you've been doing.

I hear ya on not tempting fate with baking ~ I fell apart tonight...just wanted to feel really Full for a change and ate WAY too much junk. I'm just going to add a 1000 cals to my food tracker because I know I probably ate that much. Every once in a while I just lose my mind and consume great amounts of stuff. Oddly tho, I didn't indulge in my baked stuff ~ just some old candy in a drawer that caught my eye. Totally unplanned. Learned my lesson ~ nothing that's not planned from now on. I need to plan an island vacation instead! LOL

nite,

Wednesday's Weigh-In

Friday, October 26, 2007

I'm kind of late posting this but I was really disappointed to only lose point 1 pounds considering that I had five hours of exercise last week and I drank my water and ate within my calories. Sigh...

Aw, ((Joanna)) ~ I hear ya. I actually GAINED! not gobs, just "point" something....but, you know what? the next day it was down a little...I know I should Stay off the scale, but ~ what it tells us is that our weight fluctuates all the time for all Kinds of reasons. Don't feel down about the "point" loss as it could be anything ~ you may lose a lot more than you think next time. Anyway, if you've been doing everything right, you are heading in the right direction and will get there. I hate the little losses too ~ heck, I expected to have lost 2 pounds and then I saw that stupid gain...made me so mad I ALMOST really pigged out.....I am a big pig-out eater ~ just give me a reason to eat LOL.....but I'm getting better. I think the logging helps.

Anyway ~ you hang in there! it's slower for us compared to the 'young' ones. I hope you have a great weekend......I picked up a lot of cookbooks from the library and I finally got a book I'd requested long ago ~ that book about Anna Nicole, Blonde Ambition by Rita Cosby.....it seemed interesting at the time, but now I could not care less...that is until I started just a couple pages. Now I'm hooked in again. Embarrassing LOL.

Have a good one kiddo!

Excerpts from a CAT'S DIARY

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am.
Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.

For now...

New Clothes

Thursday, October 18, 2007

I went shopping yesterday and went down one size for a new corduroy jacket and a denim skirt. And, the skirt still felt a little loose but the size 16 one was too tight. Although, I did get it on. My husband said I should have bought it because I was bound to fit into it soon. But, I didn't.

I also bought two new pairs of sneakers from Payless Shoe Store. It was buy one pair and get the second for half price.

Congrats on fitting into the smaller size jacket and skirt! I know ~ geting the skirt that was just a tad tight ~ it's really hard when you are in between sizes. It all depends on whether you want to wear something now, or have something to work your way into. They need to make more clothes the way they do guys pants ~ where they expand an inch or so either way~ they'd be more useful that way LOL. I need some new sneaks too ~ the only ones that ever feel comfortable for me are the Rykas ~ the padding is so soft right from the git-go. It's supposed to be sunny and in the 70s here this weekend so hoping for a good day working in the yard. Hope you have a great weekend! ~ tracy
