Hands - Story

Tuesday, June 08, 2010

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $475 million.
It depends on whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.

A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will
Produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.

As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...
It depends whose hands it's in.

This message is now in YOUR hands.
What will YOU do with it?

It Depends on WHOSE Hands it's in!

KEEP THE MOWER RUNNING! - Too Funny - Joke

Monday, June 07, 2010

Marriage is a relationship in which one person is always right and the other is usually the husband.

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first: the truck, the car, e-mail, fishing, always something more important to me.

Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.

When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a few minutes. When I came out again I handed her a toothbrush. 'When you finish cutting the grass,' I said, 'you might as well sweep the driveway.'

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

My Sunday

Sunday, June 06, 2010

Today after church I went to my Brother's house and we celebrated Father's Day early since they will be on vacation. I thought it was very nice of my brother when he prayed that he prayed for us because of Charlie cat dying. My mother is already thinking about another cat because we always joked that our next cat will have to start with a "D" since we had Archie, Buster and Charlie. I know that I am not ready for another pet yet but maybe at the end of summer.

I played Skippo and Triominos with my niece and my sister-in-law and lost every game!

I got home around 4:00 and walked to the pool with my cousins and Leilani and swam quite a few laps. It does not seem to be hurting my back too much and it is a form of exercise, yay!

I am now getting ready to continiue to work on my presentation for Tuesday for work. I have managed to work a lot of hours this weekend too so maybe I will be able to use some comp hours soon!

I hope that everyone had a nice Sunday!

You always have such wonderful times with your family. I miss being closer to my brothers and sisters. We finally have both our children...grown...in the same city. But they are busy and I understand that. Hope you continue to heal and get to feeling better real soon. Good luck with your presentation.

Sounds like a perfectly lovely Sunday. Can you send some of the warmth this way? I understand how you feel about getting another cat. If/When you decide to get another, I like the idea of starting their name with a "D." I like the pattern!

Have fun this week!

Water therapy may be an option?? I understand your feelings about not wanting another cat, too. It's so hard to think about another pet so soon after...

Love you, sis. Don't work too hard this coming week...

Ole Fills In - Joke!

Saturday, June 05, 2010

A doctor in Duluth wanted to get off work and go hunting, so he approached his assistant. 'Ole, I am goin' huntin' tomorrow and don't want to close the clinic. I want you to take care of the clinic and take care of all my patients.'

'Yes, sir!' answers Ole.

The doctor goes hunting and returns
the following day and asks: 'So, Ole,
How was your day?'

Ole told him that he took care of
three patients. 'The first one had a
headache so I gave him TYLENOL.'

'Bravo, mate, and the second one?'
asks the doctor.
'The second one had stomach burning and I gave him MAALOX, sir,' says Ole.

'Bravo, bravo! You're good at this and what about the third one?' asks the Doctor.

'Sir, I was sitting here and suddenly the door opens and a woman enters.
Like a flame, she undresses herself,
taking off everything including
her panties and lies
down on the table and shouts:
HELP ME - I haven't
seen a man in over two years!!'

'Tunderin' Lard Yeezus, Ole,
what did you do?' asks the doctor.

'I put drops in her eyes!!

Our Charlie Cat is Dead

Friday, June 04, 2010

A neighbor just knocked on our door to ask if we had a cat that was missing and it was poor Charlie. I am glad at least to find out what happened to him. I have no idea what he died from. He was such a nice cat!

So sad he's gone. But good that you got to know about his destiny (although that's no comfort). It's just so sad when we have adopted them like family.

Oh, Bets. I'm so sorry. I truly really am. Our Blaze was old and he just decided to take off one day (after bringing baby Freddie home for us to have)...Brian said they do that when they know they're getting ready to die. I think they just want us to remember them the way they were. So Charlie just wants you to remember him the way he was.

Take comfort in knowing he was blessed to have you in his life.
