Subject: 9 Months Later!!!

Jack decided to go skiing with his buddy, Bob.
So they loaded up Jack's mini-van and headed north.

After driving for a few hours, they got caught in a
terrible blizzard.

So they pulled into a nearby farm and asked the attractive lady who answered the door if they could spend the night.

'I realize it's terrible weather out there and I have this huge house all to myself, but I'm recently widowed,' she explained. 'I'm afraid the neighbor's will talk if I let you stay in my house.'

'Don't worry,' Jack said. 'We'll be happy to sleep in the barn. And if the weather breaks, we'll be gone at first light.'

The lady agreed, and the two men found their way to the barn and settled in for the night.

Come morning, the weather had cleared, and they got on their way. They enjoyed a great weekend of skiing.

But about nine months later, Jack got an unexpected letter from
an attorney.

It took him a few minutes to figure it out, but he finally determined that it was from the attorney of that attractive widow he had met on the ski weekend.

He dropped in on his friend Bob and asked,

'Bob, do you remember that good-looking widow from the farm we stayed at on our ski holiday up north about 9 months ago?'

'Yes, I do,' Said Bob .

'Did you, err, happen to get up in the middle of the night, go up to the house and pay her a visit?'

'Well, um, yes!' Bob said, a little embarrassed about being found out, 'I have to admit that I did.'

'And did you happen to give her my name instead of telling her your name?'

Bob's face turned beet red and he said, 'Yeah, look, I'm sorry, buddy. I'm afraid I did.' 'Why do you ask?'

'She just died and left me everything.'

(And you thought the ending would be different, didn't you?... you know you smiled...now keep that smile for the rest of the day!) ------ ;-)

The Holy Alphabet...This is Beautiful (Poem)

Sunday, January 03, 2010

The Holy Alphabet...This is Beautiful

Whoever came up with this one must have had some Divine guidance!

Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow

God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of " Camp Complaining "
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, But...
Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

"I AM Too blessed to be stressed!"

The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor.
The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.

Love and peace be with you forever, Amen.

PS: GOD LOVES YOU...PASS THE WORD ON TO MORE FRIENDS AND ASK THEM TO CONTINUE TELLING OTHERS THAT GOD LOVES THEM TOO.

JUST THINK OF HOW MANY PEOPLE THAT COULD BE REACHED OUT TO AND BLESSED WITH THESE WORDS.

It is Cold in NC!

Tuesday, December 29, 2009

I tried to walk outside today and only lasted for about 10 minutes. The wind was way too cold. Life is going okay these days and I am enjoying my time off of work. It is going way too fast though! My nephew is coming tonight to spend a couple of days with me so that should be fun too! He is 12 years old. I am not sure what we will be doing as of yet but we will figure something out.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation with your nephew and stay warm!!
Take him to see The Blind Side; it is a very good movie and one that everyone should see! Hollywood doesn't make enough movies like this...

    Have fun.

PS: It is cold in the top of Texas too. 34 degrees. I am sure it is colder there, though.

BRRR---it is cold, here on the coast, temps are supposed to get down to 26 --not the temps we are accustomed to ---I can deal with mid 30's but once the they drop below 30, it's like we can't handle the cold -- I definitely couldn't live in one of the northern states where it really does get cold!

Have a great time with your nephew!
