My life

Saturday, March 14, 2009

I enjoyed being able to go to the gym to day and do 30 minutes on the treadmill. I am sore from starting my new Bootcamp last night. I am sore in places that I never thought I would be. I also had the opportunity to tan tonight. I feel so much better exercising. Now if I could get my daughters into this fitness craze I am in.

I also enjoyed a night without my husband last night. He went to his mother's house last night to work on a boat with his step dad and brother. I really don't get very many nights were I can actually sleep in my bed without being kicked or pushed almost out of bed.

I actually have to go and find a swim suit for this next weekend. I am also having to find some new swim suit's or my daughters to take to Cayuga for Basketball Regional. We are staying in a Motel for two nights so that we can get a little bit of a spring break vacation. I hate buying swimsuits and so this is going to be a huge chore for me.

Good luck on the swim suit hunt. Just remember why you are having to buy a new one.

I have to admit that I don't sleep as well without my hubby, but he is a very quiet - sound & movement - sleeper.

Enjoy your time with your kids. i ma currently getting my "mom" fix, while visiting my son. Hadn't seen him since Christmas break.

Love, Sam

You are doing just great and I TOTALLY understand about having the bed to myself too! My hubby is a mover and tosses and turns in ALL directions! LOL

A suggestion: When buying a bathing suit, it would be flattering if you have a skirt like bottom, whether a one-piece or two-piece. Also, the closer to medium contract colors between your skin tone and fabric color, the more the suit would compliment you.

Good luck and have fun!! Jazzy!

Bootcamp Tonight.

Friday, March 13, 2009

Well I was getting very bummed out because due to my daughters basketball and softball schedules I wasn't going to be able to make bootcamp for the next few months. Then we were blessed to have found someone that does bootcamp later in the afternoon.

I went tonight and felt right at home. The Instructor is a very sweet guy but he works you really well. So now I will be able to watch both of my daughters practice softball on Tuesday's and Thursdays, and then take my 11 year old daughter to her basketball practice/.

I have never felt so good about exercising until I decided to join a bootcamp. I really never thought I would ever, ever, ever say anything remotely to that affect.

I haven't lost very many pounds but I have noticed that I have lost some inches. I still have a lot more to lose, but one day I will be able to tuck in my shirts with out feeling embarrassed.

No Bootcamp tonight!

Well I felt bad tonight because I was not able to make it to bootcamp tonight. I had to take my 13 year daughter Cheyenne to the doctor today. The only time they had available was at 4:00pm. So by the time I got done there and got all the kids ready it was time for my 11 year old daughters all-star basketball scrimmage. My daughter Alexis is on the Major girls team which is fifth and sixth graders. The scrimmaged against the senior girls which are seventh and eighth grade girls. All though the major girls did not win, they held them pretty good. I feel lucky with out going to bootcamp. I am really enjoying getting some exercise that I don't do at home. I also put on a skirt today that was a size 16. I am not sure that I could wear pants that size but it felt good to zip the skirt all the way.

Ps. My thirteen year old daughter is fine, she had some white bumps on her gums. The doctor said that it was blister's from a Viral Infection. She is to rinse her mouth out with salt water every few hours. He also said that she may end up with more in her mouth but the should go away in 3-4 days.

So sorry to hear about your daughters illness. I hope she feels better soon. Don't be so hard on yourself for missing bootcamp. As a mom our first priority is our children and you managed to have a fun night anyways.

A mile Stone Broken:

. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

All of my adult and teen life I have wore 2XL(as a teen) all the way to my biggest which was a 4X. I never wore blue jeans because they didn't stretch big enough to fit me. My mother who is Nurse brought me some scrub sets that she didn't want tonight. Of course some of them were 2X but some were XL. So I thought I would try the XL on and see how close I was to getting them over my hips. To my surprise the XL fit, and they weren't too tight. I was excited to actually fit in a more normal size.

I had bootcamp again tonight and I swear we did over 120 crunches and a lot of arm exercises with weights. We also had to jog a whole lap around the track. I can tell that I am getting a little better, but it is so hard to look in the mirror and see anything but the 352 lb women I used to be.

I want to thank everyone for such caring words and encouragement

This is awesome. Besides that won;t be the same woman looking you in the mirror in a couple fo months. I ma still sometimes shocked when I look at myself. No, I am not to goal weight - not even close, but I feel better.
Keep up the good work.
Sam

Bootcamp

Monday, March 09, 2009

I had bootcamp tonight and we had to do ton's of running. I actually did keep jogging more tonight. I still have a way's to go before I am even including in as a fitness person, but I can tell that I have come a ways from a year ago.
My daughter is still doing basketball practice and now she is starting softball. So now I have Bootcamp on Monday, Tues, and Thursday and Alexis has practice those nights. Then I found out she is having softball practice on Sunday. We will be very busy oh well that is less time eating and more time moving.
