Had a Good Bike Ride yesterday! Hope to do the same this weekend!

Friday, April 17, 2009

My son had ball practice yesterday, which happens to be near the bike trail. So I strapped my bike on my car, dropped him off and rode for 55 minutes! I LOVE riding! It's such a good stress reliever and a fun form of exercise! There were a TON of people on the trail! It's good to see people making healthy lifestyle habits! There were people walking, biking and rollerblading. I've tried rollerblading before but I fell on my butt and was sore for a couple of days. I wish a could 'blade' like the wind, some of those folks are as old as I am, but I'm not good at stopping those wheels My daughter and I do rollerblade on our driveway tho. It's safer that way, 'cause I don't have to go down any inclines! Plus I can fall into the grass if I need to!
I'm going to pour me another cup of joe and watch the news. Have a great day!

Glad you were able to get out into the sun and fresh air!! It was a beautiful day and we are in for at least two more!! Tonight we might be having a campfire in our back yard and I'm watching my neice's two sons who are close in age to mine. I bought some Koegel Viennas at Rics and plan on saving enough calories to enjoy one with a nice cold beer! I'm sticking around the yard today to do that raking I've been needing to do. Have a fantastic weekend and I hope you are able to bike as much as possible....isn't it amazing how much better we feel when we get to moving our butts?! LOL

My blog posting is working again!

Thursday, April 16, 2009

Couldn't get my blog to work this morning, but seems to be working okay now. I went for a 55 minute bike ride tonight while my son was at ball practice. The weather was great and there were a lot of people on the trail. Getting tired (from Femara med) so I am going to bed! See ya in the morning!

I'm going to try my luck at selling Avon for some xtra spending dough!

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Anyone out there ever sell Avon? I thought I would invest $10 to see if I can have a little extra income in these tough economic times. Not much of a sales person tho'! Wish me luck!
Still need to do better with my "diet" and I have been very lazy when it comes to exercising!

I think it's a great idea! I have sold avon in the past and right now I'm just doing a little selling and personal use. Very low start-up cost, nice products, good prices & sales. I think it's the type of company that has something for everyone too. If you have any questions, just send me a sparkmail! Best of luck with your new business!!

My sister just started selling it, therefore I just started using it! LOL Avon has GREAT products and I believe it does sell itself. You don't need to be a salesman, but be outgoing with it - wishing you the best of luck!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

I used to sell avon. It really sells itself. My only problem was they would send me things monthly that I didnt' order, sort of like a special deal and since I didn't sell them I ended up owing money in the end. I would love to start it up again, if I could opt out of that option. Anyways, good luck! emoticon

Day in and Day out.......

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Lately I feel like I'm on a merry-go-round, same ol' thing day in and day out. Wish I were old enough to retire. I've been looking for another job to spice things up, but no one is hiring. So for now the job I have will have to do.
I need to get back on track with my eating, but even that gets boring! Warmer weather would help too! I want to start bike riding again. It's the one exercise that I actually enjoy! I want to check out some new bike trails this year. There's one up by Mackinaw that I want to check out this year. Last year I found a pretty one by Greenville that I am going back to. It's a pretty ride along the river and takes you down by a lake (forget the name). There's one out by Lake Michigan that I wouldn't mind going to either.
Have a GREAT day!

Oh yeah, still waiting out here the wild northwest for it to be just a little warmer for bike riding.
Lots of hills around Seattle, north of Seattle where there are some long bike trails. Soon, so for now I look at every workout as getting ready and in shape to ride like the wind!

I need to get a good bike rack for my truck, one that folds down and I can leave on. Any ideas where to look for a good deal? I'd love to ride that trail over by Greenville with you. Sounds very pretty!! I hear there's morels over there too! lol I hear Friday is going to warm up. Can't wait!! I went to water aerobics at the Y today and that was kind of fun. I hope you can mix things up so you don't get too bored and fall off the wagon completely!! Today I'm also mixing it up with meals and trying 4 smaller meals instead of 3 larger ones. We'll have to see how that works. I'm a volume kind of chick! lol

ate too much yesterday!

Monday, April 13, 2009

I overate yesterday! Had a big meal at my brothers house, then had to come home and fix another one for my husbands family. Can't remember the last time I ate that many calories in one day. I 've even been slacking with my exercise. Need to get out that scale and use it more often!

You aren't the only one!! I didn't bother journaling....and I know I was WAY over on calories. Though I stopped at half a pc. of homemade pecan pie....sans the cool whip. Best for us to just dust ourselves off and move on. Today is a new day. I still need to get that bike of mine out and dust it off. Maybe by Friday. This week, I'm just trying to hit the Y hard and getting back on track. I hate this weather! BRRRRR! Have a good week!

Don't be to hard on yourself! That is exactly what you have told me in the past. I know you are not the only one who ate too much yesterday, I was right there with you! You are doing great, keep up the good work. Just think, I only weigh myself about twice a week! emoticon
