A quick favor.

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Hello SP Family.
I am writing this quick blog to ask a favor. My daughter My'Eisha
(who is in college) is doing a project on child labor and she has entered a contest where the students make mocks ads decrying Hersey Chocolate Co for their use of child labor. Please check out the link and if you would be so kind, to vote for Tainted Smiles by My'Eisha Wicks in the "Pick your favorite mock ad" category. Thank you very much and check out whole page. It really moves you.
God bless you

Hershey's they used to be a well respected American company, in PA. The entire town was employed by the company and every one did pretty good, it was an honor to be employed by the company and live in the town. Those days are over with, the factory that once employed an entire town is just a theme park and the town is now a tourist trap.

Hershey's sent production to Mexico a few year ago.

Even if I could I wouldn't eat Hershey's product and the website you posted just gave me another reason to avoid the product.

Thank you!

A little bit of encouragement

Monday, March 21, 2011

I get a daily email of encouragement and today I thought I would share this one with my Spark family. I was feeling a little discouraged this morning and this email came right when I needed it, right when God know I needed a reminder of who His is in my life. I pray that it is a blessing to someone else too.
In Jesus Name

For it is written; 'He shall give His angels
charge over you, To keep you,' and, 'In
their hands they shall bear you up, Lest
you dash your foot against a stone.'"
( Luke 4:10-11 *NKJV )

Dear Friends ,
One of the duties of an angel is to watch over the
children of God. For, Are they not all ministering
spirits sent forth to minister for those who
will inherit salvation? ( Hebrews 1:14 )

Although it is not written that one angel is assigned to
each of us, it is clear that our Heavenly Father sends us
an angel when we need one! For it is written; For He
shall give His angels charge over you, to keep
you in all your ways. ( Psalms 91:11 )

So Friends , with that kind of help; Do not worry
about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about
itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
( Matthew 6:34 )

Also why fear things that haven't happened yet? For,
"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my
helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to
me?" ( Hebrews 13:5-6 )

Most of all, why doubt that God hears your prayers, and
will answer them. For this is clearly another example of how
very much God loves each and every one of His children, and
how well He cares for them as well! Amen.

Have a Wonderful Monday Friends , and may; The
peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus. ( Philippians 4:7 )

All My Love & Prayers,
Pastor Allen

Come now, and let us reason together

Tuesday, March 01, 2011

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

You know when I read this verse, I am so amazed at what an awesome God we serve and I am in awe with how much He loves us! Imagine this, you have blessed someone with a wonderful gift and then that person takes your gift and throws it back in your face! Now speaking for myself, I would be ready to roll up my sleeves and get into my boxing stance! LOL How dare they treat my gift in such a way! They would never have to worry about me giving them anything again!

So now imagine God talking to the children of Israel, who He has been blessing since Abraham. The same children who He has protected, feed, blessed and saved and every time He turns around, they are running after other gods. And now imagine that this same creator and protector of these rebellious children wants to reason with them! Where God could have just wiped them out and started all over, He loved and cared for them so much that He wanted to reason with them and give them a chance to have there sins cleaned and made white as snow! What a loving and awesome God we serve!! And now today, He is doing the same thing. But only this time sent His Son, who shed His Blood because He loves us so much and wants us to have a loving relationship with His Father. God is calling us in these last days to listen to reason. To listen to the Gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ and to come and be made white as snow. To be made clean! Isaiah also tells us in 64:6,
"But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

Until we come to our senses and listen to reason, we are nothing but a unclean thing and any so-called righteousness we may think we have is as dirty stinking rags! And the only way we can be made clean is by the Blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Look in your spiritual mirror and what do you see? Are you glowing in the brightness of the Blood? Are you a pile of stinking rags? And you know what they do to stinking rags? They throw them in the fire!
Let us reason with our Father.

God's Word will never lie!

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

God is such an awesome God and when I need him, He is always there! You know, it may be hard to believe, (yea right!) but sometimes I despair of things that are going on in my life. Life seems to start to overshadow me and the road begins to get dark and bumpy for me. But then, God will allow me to read something in His Word or to read a comment from a Spark friend and I am reminded of His Word and how it works in my life. Like today, I was lead to read Number 23:19 and was reminded that God can never lie to us and if He said it, then He means it! He loves me, He will never leave me. He give His Son for me so that I can have a relationship with Him and all of this is in His Word. He tells be that times likes this are made bearable because of His Grace. He tells me that He will never let anything separate me from His Love! And it is all in His Word.
I have been lied to by many people and I have lied to many people in my life but God is not me and I thank Him for that! He can never lie! He tells me in Isaiah 55:11: "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it." His Word cannot return to Him without doing what He sent it out to do. And it prospers!!

So, I am going to continue to walk down the road before me and once again I will continue to walk in the faith that God has given me through His Word. And believe and trust in the Promises that my Father has gievn me.
In Jesus Name

Hello old friend...I was reading this morning that Jesus took satans legal rights away from him on Resurrection morning...Bro Gregg, you know that the enemy of God has absolutly No Authority over us....only what we give him"...and I do know that when we are going through a valley in life that Jesus is right there walking us thru it!!! Remember that he is the Shepard and we are his Sheep, so whenever we go thru something that is difficult to understand, a valley/storm or something, just picture yourself as a sheep trying to reach the mountain top and you have your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as your, hallaluyah!!!! You can't go wrong Brother...His rod and his staff is guiding you, showing you the way to go. Just keep on praising him even when the storms do come.     Be encouraged, Greg! Great is His Faithfulness! I didn't recall that was the title of one of your previous blogs until now.
Have you found that when we proclaim something about God when we blog, for example, that we then get tested on that ? On my last blog I wrote I surrender! When I was at the library yesterday, I found a book, in the discard pile, in which the study focused on surrendering! I said, "Thank You Jesus!" because I know He was following up with what I declared. It was, I believe, a little help sent my way from Him. It was if He said," you said it, now do it. I will even guide you in that direction!"
Yes, I am being equipped but also put to the test!

I like your closing, positive, faith-filled comment. I will try to apply that as well.

The Enemy regularly opens up the door to Hell and blows the thick black smoke over our lives trying to create havoc and despair, but through faith and prayer Our Heavenly Father is fully ready and capable of blowing that smoke right back in Satan's face. If you listen carefully you can hear God laughing and Satan choking.

Lamentations 3: Great is thy faithfulness

Wednesday, January 12, 2011

21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

I was listening to the song "Great is thy faithfulness" And I was lead to look up the verse and read it. It is from Lamentations 3. And when I read God's Words, tears came to my eyes. God is telling us exactly what to do to get through our day, no matter how rough it may be. Trust and hope in Him and everything will be ok. Because His mercies are new each and everyday and His Love for us does not fail! What more do we need to remember when times get rough? How can we worry when we have such a promise as this from our Father? Just remember, when you wake up each day, that God has brand new mercies for you and His Love for you has not failed!!

Father God
Please open the hearts of those for whom You lead me to post this message. Someone needs to hear and be reminded of Your Mercy and Your Grace and that Your compassion for Your children will never fail. I thank You that You are always with us and I pray that You continue to bless each and everyone of us with Your Wisdom and an greater understanding of Your Word

Where would I be yet for the grace and Mercy from the Lord our God? His Faithfulness is indeed Great! I thank Him that His mercies are new each day we wake up. Our God is an Awesome wonder! I marvel at His works and stand in awe of Him!

Keep up your blogging, Greg, for it is a source of encouragement. Thank you Brother for posting. God Bless you!!!!!!!!

Awesome Words - I'm sure a lot of "someones" needed to read that - I being among them. Some times this world can just get me down - but I am in the world - not of it. Thank God!!!! emoticon
