John 14:15-17
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
When Jesus was teaching His disciples, He explained to them that He was soon to go away, but that another Comforter was to come in His Name and that this Comforter would abide with us forever. and in order for us to be able to receive this Comforter, we must keep His commandments. Do you notice that He said, "If you love Me, keep My commandments"? Love and obedience go hand in hand when we are truly with Christ. If we say we love Him and do not keep His commandments, then we are liars!
One of His commandments is given to us in Matt 22:37 "Jesus said to him, ""You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' . Are we following that commandment. Is the Lord first in your heart? Do you put Him before all others?. We are also told in John 13:34 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. " Do we love one another as Christ loves us? do we forgive those who wronged us? Do we love and help those who need us? How many of Christ's commandment to we truly follow? I know that I am sometimes guilty of skipping a few. But that is the wonderful thing about Jesus. When He sent the Comforter to be with us forever, He convicts us of our sins and leads us back to the right road and back into God's will. He shows us everyday why we love Jesus and why we should continue to walk in His way and to keep His commandments. I am so thankful to be able to say that I love Jesus and that I do my best to keep His commandments and that the Holy Spirit lives in me.
Do you have the Comforter living in you today? Where is your comfort coming from? Without Christ as your Lord and Savior, you really don't have any true comfort or any real peace. Place your life in Christ and bask in His Comfort.

Romans 10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
With the beginning of the new year, we tend to make all kinds of resolutions and set goals for the year but for some of us, the most important goal to make has not been made. Do you know where you will spend eternity? Do you know where your soul will go after you die. Are you living in the bondage of sin and death or are you walking in the confidence that you are free!
The Bible tells us that we must believe in our hearts AND confess with our mouths that Jesus died and rose again and that He is the Son of God, then we shall be saved. Jesus came down to this earth as a man to give His life that we may have eternal life with Him and God. By the shedding of His Holy Blood are we washed and made clean from sin. And only by accepting this most precious of gifts can we ever hope to get to Heaven. Romans 10:9-11 tells us this. It is the most basic of instructions on how to be saved. It is not difficult to do. Just open up your heart and ask Jesus to come in. He is always standing at the door, waiting for you to let Him in. He will not force Himself into your life. As freely as He give His life for you, you have to just as freely accept Him. And there is no other way to be saved. The Bible also tells us:
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Act 4:12
Jesus is the only way. The One and Only way to have a relationship with our Most Holy Father God.
When we stand before God on Judgment Day, we you stand in the confidence that you will be welcomed bu God the Father or will you be ashamed that you never accepted His Son as your Lord and Savior? The choice is yours.
Please feel free to to contact me if you have any questions about salvation and I will do my best by the Grace of God to answer them.

Just a little wisdom I got in my email every week. Thought I would share since it hits home to me. Enjoy.
Weekly Wisdom for the week of September 20, 2010
Anything you have to hide to do is probably something you shouldn't be doing at all.
It can be difficult to find people of integrity, because so many people make mediocre compromises. At work, such people take every shortcut possible in order to finish the task as quickly as possible, even though they do a terrible job in the process. At school, mediocre people copy homework from friends and copy essays from the Internet just in order to avoid work while hoping to get a good grade, even though they're cheating and don't learn the material.
Unfortunately, many of the people who lack integrity are Christians. Yet, this is clearly not how God wants us to live. He desires that we be people of integrity.
Integrity means doing what is right when no one is looking, and it means going the extra mile, knowing that God sees everything and that what he sees in secret he will reward in the open (Matthew 6:4,6,18). Jesus told his disciples, "What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs" (Luke 12:3).
Whatever you do now, even if it is hidden from others, will be brought out into the open and made public. If you are wondering whether or not to do something, consider whether or not you'd be willing to do it in front of your boss, your teacher, your parents, or your pastor. If you have to hide what you're doing to feel comfortable, then there's a good chance you shouldn't be doing it at all.

13Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
For those of us who know God as our Father and Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we know we are protected, covered and saved by the Blood of the Lamb. All of our sins have been washed away and we are now as white as snow in the eyes of God. But that does not mean that we are free from temptation! Oh no! As a matter of fact, we are expected to be under a greater attack than those who are not saved because satan is the accuser of the children of God and he gets no greater pleasure than to trip one of us up and go to the Father and say "See, I told you so!"
And when, not if, satan comes to tempt you, you have to fall back on the many weapons of warfare that God has given us. Just read Ephesians 6:10-18 to learn about the Armor that God has supplied for His children. If we use this Armor, we can and will defeat the schemes of the enemy! But as with any weapon or tool, it is useless unless you pick it up and use it! And sometimes when we give in to our lusts and desires, we tend to put down our weapons. We can not embrace both our lusts and our weapons, so we drop our weapons of salvation and and embrace our lusts! And when we do that, nothing can come of it but death!
And we can't put the blame on our righteous God because He warned us and give us the weapons in which to battle the temptation! People sometimes cry out, "Why have You let this happen to me God?" But our God hates evil and sin and would never use it to tempt us! It is when we turn away from God and run to the devil that all of our sins catch up to us.
So my point of this blog is to remind my brothers and sisters in Christ and for those who may not know Jesus yet, that any temptations that you may be going through now, ANY temptations, can be resisted if you can our heart and mind on Christ Jesus and trust in every word He says! Wear the Armor of God with faith and confidence and believe that what God says is true. Submit to God and Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) . We will go through temptations, believe me, I am no different than you. Jesus tells us in Luke 17:1 :"Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!" But when they do come, remember who your Father is and all that He has given you to fight in His Name and Power!
And on a closing note, if as a child of God you do fall into sin, remember 1John 1:9."If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Thank you for taking time to read this.
