Confessing our sins

Sunday, June 12, 2011

Just a little something I received in my email but it says a lot! I pray that you are blessed by it.

Dear Gregory ,
When we confess our sins and ask for God's forgiveness,
they are cleaned from the Book Of Life by the Most Precious
Blood of our Savior Jesus Christ. It is then that those sins
are not only forgiven, but they are also forgotten by our
Heavenly Father as well. For it is written; "For I will be
merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins
and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
( Hebrews 8:12 )

Now that doesn't mean that we may continue to do the
same sin over and over, and still be forgiven each time we
repent. After all the first verse does state; "Whoever
confesses and forsakes them " does it not?

Therefore when you pray remember the confession of your
sins should be a daily routine, for to be of the flesh is to be
of a sinful nature. However God realizes that, so never feel
that because of your past sins God will never forgive you!
After all you are His Child, and HE Loves You very much!
Amen.

Great Word! I need to remember this everyday.
In Jesus Name

We tend think we have to be perfect to be loved by our Father. Do our children have to be perfect for us to love them, of course not. We love them unconditionally. We love them when they are covered head to toe in muck and we love them equally when they are making us swell with pride. What makes us think our Father is any different? We just have to keep that line of communication open. Daily confessing our sins and daily accepting His love.

Being thankful

Sunday, May 22, 2011

Just thought I would share this word I got in my email today. It really helped me to get through a rough time and I pray that it is a blessing to you too!
In Jesus Name
Greg

Thankfulness depends on what is in your heart, not what is in your hand.

Most people have no trouble finding things to complain about: traffic is slow, gas is too expensive, the weather is bad, prices are too high. Yet in every single situation, that same person also has a lot to be thankful for: he can drive, has a car, has a shelter to be protected from the weather, and has the money to purchase necessary items.

Your circumstances may not be all that great, but wherever you are it is God's will that you give thanks in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:18). As a Christian, that is possible because no matter what your circumstances are, you can always thank God for deliverance through Christ (see 2 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 7:24-25).

Indeed, the Israelites knew that thanksgiving was so important that part of the official duty of the tribe of Levi was to thank God: They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord (1 Chronicles 23:30). They had heart of thankfulness and were instructed to be thankful regardless of what happened that day.

The psalmist wrote: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name (Psalm 100:4). Notice that we can't even enter God's gates unless we're thankful.

It certainly is possible to live giving thanks to God the Father for everything (Ephesians 5:20), because thankfulness depends on what is in your heart, not what is in your hand.

Saying thank you Lord for every positive aspect of our days is an eye-opening experience. Drop something but it doesn't break or spill? Say thank you, and so on through the hours. If we are conscientious, our thank you's will overwhelm us at day's end. -- Lou

Just a little something to make you smile!

Saturday, May 07, 2011

I got this in my email this morning and thought I would share it with my SP Family. Too funny!

Proof That Scripture Can Protect You

Now an elderly woman had just returned to her home from an
evening of Church services when an intruder startled her. She
caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables
and yelled, Stop! ACTS 2:38!**" The burglar stopped in his
tracks. The woman calmly called the police and explained what
she had done.

As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the
burglar, "Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did
was yell a Scripture at you."

"Scripture?" replied the burglar. "I though she said she had an
Ax and Two 38's!"

One who will never leave me

Wednesday, May 04, 2011

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

So many people say that they love us and would never leave us, but most of the time they end up lying to us and walking away. But there is One who has made that promise to us and will never break His Word! Jesus tells us that we should not talk about what we have or could have and to be content with what we have. I know that sometimes, I wish for just a little more or I worry about what I don't have but I know it is enough because when it comes down to it, all I need is Jesus! And more importantly, He will never leave nor forsake me no matter what I have or don't have!

God give me this verse as I was praying about my situation and to tell you the truth, I was stressing a little bit, but then this word came to me and I am at peace now. God is so awesome to me and I know He loves me and is with me even in the bad times and He is with you too! So rejoice! There is one who is with you always!!
In Jesus Name
Greg

Growing up, I wouldn't have made it without knowing that Jesus was right there in my bedroom every single night. Having that close relationship got me through school, got me through abusive situations, gets me through life. It is a huge comfort knowing that my Father and His son will NEVER leave me alone, NEVER let go of my hand, NEVER stop walking with me. I truly feel sorry for those who don't know them, who don't know what it's like to be held by them....

Always have faith in God.. I had a dream not too long ago, and Jesus in all His glory told me, "Fear not, I will uphold thee. I will hold thy right hand." I know in my heart that I am never alone, and that no matter what happens, He is right there holding my hand. Such a comfort! Today I spent the day in the ER with my dad. After a cat scan, the doctor came in and told me they thought he might have a clot on his lung, and his gall bladder was full of stones. They were taking him down to nuclear medicine for more scans. I started to get a little panicky. Then that verse just ran through my head. I knew no matter what the outcome was, everything was going to be ok. I started to pray, and the doctor came back a few hours later, and said no clot. Just gall stones. They admitted him, but I know I have to have faith.. He's here, holding my hand..Just as He's holding yours..

Wait on the Lord!

Friday, April 29, 2011

A little something form a friend. It encouraged me and I hope that it does the same for you!
God Bless

Wait on the Lord ; Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait,
I say, on the Lord!
( Psalms 27:14 *NKJV )

Dear Gregory ,
As we all know, there are times in this life when we
become discouraged, and feel like giving up on a person,
place or thing. Then that causes us to lose confidence
in ourselves.

Therefore when you are facing such a situation do not
give up, but turn to; Him who is able to do exceedingly
abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us.
( Ephesians 3:20 ) For it is important that you; Do not cast
away your confidence, which has great reward.
( Hebrews 10:35 )

So Gregory , do not give up or become discouraged!
Instead ask for God's help and wait on His timing, and
if it still doesn't happen, know that He has something or
someone even better planned for you! For you may; Be
confident of this very thing, that He who has
begun a good work in you will complete it until
the day of Jesus Christ. ( Philippians 1:6 )

Therefore; To Him be glory in the Church by Christ
Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
( Ephesians 3:21 )

All My Love & Prayers,
Pastor Allen
