Slept 9 hours last night; however, I woke up at 2:30 a.m. to use the bathroom and couldn't get back to sleep for at least an hour.

Things I did:

Did my 40 minutes of strength training - for some reason I felt it more than the other times I did the same work out.

Vitamins taken: Folic Acid, Multi, calcium

Went to bed at 10:30.

I do have a lot on my mind in that I am looking for a new job, and that's what my mind lingered on while I attempted to slip back into sleep.

    Good job on working on your sleep and, of course, on your strength training. I bet you worked out a little harder without realizing it and that's why you feel a little sore. Be sure to skip a day between strength training the same muscles. Again, thanks for your kind words!

Slept 8 hours last night.

Things I did yesterday:

Walk/ran 2.5 miles
Walked for an additional hour
Took my vitamins - Folic Acid, Multi, calcium
Watched a little bit of Dancing with the Stars

Physical activity seems to be the cure for improving my sleep.

Sleeping so much better these days that it's hard to believe I struggled for so long with not getting enough of it.

Exercise for sure is what's helping me. My body is slightly sore, but I don't care because I'm getting my sleep. I slept 9 hours last night! emoticon

Went to bed at 11 pm and awakened at 7 a.m. Slept for 8 hours. Felt great upon awakening

Last night, because I did the walk/run day 1 of the second week training for the 5K, I noticed that my glutes were really fired up. I could feel them aching.

I took a multivitamin and ate well yesterday.

Sleep Journal - Day 8

Beyond a walk, I did not exercise yesterday. I took a multivitamin. Did not take Folic Acid because I took it with me when I spent the weekend at a friend's and couldn't find it anywhere when I got back home.

Long story short, I slept 8 hours. That sleep was much needed because I hadn't slept well the day before. Might have been the wine I drank at dinner, I don't know.
